please advice on the used car below, my concern is the maintenance costs (appreciate if can provide rough figures on regular service, wear and tear comment etc)..

B. honda city 1.5 2014
C. toyota altis 1.8 2010
D. mazda 6 2.0 2010

all in different segment but car price close each other....
is it really big difference to maintenance between B and D?

how to avoid parts changed or theft car during process buying an used car?

In point (2), thanks for suggestions but there are rather general. One thing i know is to match engine number with car grant. But now since everything can be tampered, so the seller can also fake the car grant and plate number just to sell a stolen car (forgive my wild imagination). How can the buyer validate it or which process can prevent this kind of case?
1.Can we say that buying with bank loan can eliminate this risk since bank will verify the car grant and the engine number etc?
2.Will JPJ do the verification to check whether its a stolen car during transfer of ownership process?
3.Can the buyer do verification himself with JPJ/Polis before putting down the deposit?

Sorry for my over-worried because since most forumers said prevent for scammer when buying used car, so was wondering how the scam works and how to prevent?
