Just curious, would the first gen vios or 2004 city be a good change from saga lmst 2007?
Currently driving one and it gets the job done but there are some things that bother me like cabin insulation, pickup and fuel consumption
I inherited it from my brother and have started paying for the loan from 2014 and now in its final year loan. Mileage is well over 180k.
Once the loan is over I'm considering getting a used car since they are cheaper but still unsure whether I want to take the risk

1. Brand : waja cps 2. Budget : 15k 3. New/Used/Unreg : used 4. Specs : cps 5. Transmission : auto
Thinking of getting a used waja cps since my lmst is going to be given to my brother. Anyone here has experience with this particular model? Any thoughts and/or recommendation.
The price for 2nd hand isn't so bad and I don't want to be indebted for too long
I prefer the waja over the persona btw because of its looks

QUOTE(lsm1991 @ May 3 2016, 01:36 PM) actually its a pretty decent choice. The car comes with pretty good features given its price tag and does not have any major issues, just need to maintain and replace wear and tear parts... at most the complaints are the same with any proton car the built quality BUT remember for the price, its pretty decent imho. the fc might be on the higher side, but its still acceptable... When you go see a unit, just make sure to check the car thoroughly, make sure it is as advertised, the basic used car checklist applies... i think you will probably be paying more than 15k otr. If its advertised by a dealer, call them up and ask for the otr price, the listed prices are usually (frenkly never) the final prices edit: i also assume you know how to differentiate the different models and can tell apart the real cps models, some dealers are idiots and advertise wrongly (as you can probably tell, i have no love for car dealers ) didnt really know that the otr price is different for used cars how much difference should i expect for otr price? thanks for the reply This post has been edited by homerthewhopper: May 3 2016, 02:18 PM

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(zenix @ May 3 2016, 03:50 PM) You might be wondering if you should go for the Mitsubishi sourced 4g18 engine version or the homegrown Proton CPS engine, well read the article below to have a clear picture. The Proton S4PH Campro is an inline 4 cylinder 16 valve Double Overhead Camshaft engine. Performance stats are 110hp at 6000rpm and 148Nm of torque at 4000rpm. One look at the stats would give you a slight idea of the torque curve for this engine. With the peak torque coming in at a relatively high RPM, this engine is meant to be a high revver for spirited driving. Gen2 owners have mentioned the torque actually rises, then dips a little at the 3000-4000rpm range before going up again to the maximum 148Nm of torque at 4000rpm.
On the other end of the ring, we have the 4G18. The Mitsubishi 4G18 is an inline 4 cylinder 16 valve Single Overhead Camshaft engine. It makes 102 horsepower at 6000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 2750rpm. Big amounts of torque at low revs is a typical characteristic (not all the time though) of SOHC engines, making it a nice and stressless drive in city driving situations.

Unless Proton retunes the Campro to readjust the torque curve for more torque at lower RPMs, I think the Waja Campro is going to be a sluggish drive as you’d have to rev pretty high all the time to get decent acceleration. Even Gen2 owners are complaining, and the Waja is a 1205kg car, abit heavier than the Gen2’s 1190kg.<a href='http://<link removed>/2006/01/13/waja-campro-vs-waja-4g18/' target='_blank'>pauline sos</a> In the end it is a matter of personal taste because either the 4g18 or S4PH are well supported engines in Malaysia in which you'll have no problems sourcing for cheap parts or stuff to modify it for more power. 2011 Proton Waja - what I do recommend is try to avoid any boyricer cars with fancy colors, rims, bodykit, etc. Get something as stock as possible so you know the car is untouched by the evil hands of modification OTR price = price after GST + Road Tax + Insurance + JPJ inspection + JPJ name change + etc fees they think they can bullshit u into paying.what car you're using? Thanks for the reply zenix, i noticed that the engines here are the mitsubishi and campro and not the cps which supposedly has more hp. I also prefer stock compared to modified since my brother's car always go in and out of the workshop after he changed the engine btw you seem to be good at this zenix, if you ever started a used car recommendation/review channel i''ll surely subscribed This post has been edited by homerthewhopper: May 3 2016, 06:27 PM
