Hi fellow LYN Forumers, I'm upgrading from my old Iswara (Year 2000) 1.3 Manual. My criteria to get a used car (because new car depreciates too quickly) is 1. Auto/CVT transmission 2. Within 40k budget I'm currently looking at two cars 1. Brand : Toyota Vios (2003-2007) 2. Budget : 30k 3. New/Used/Unreg : Used 4. Specs : Any 5. Transmission : Auto 6. NA or FI : FI 7. Type : 4 seater. VS 1. Brand : Mazda 3 (2007) 2. Budget : 40k 3. New/Used/Unreg : Used 4. Specs : Any 5. Transmission : Auto 6. NA or FI : FI 7. Type : 4 seater. A comparable Vios of 2007 is almost the same price of the Mazda 3. Whereas the older Vios 2003 sells at <30K. My question is it worth it to get the Mazda 3 2007 for 41 ~ 42K over the old 2003 Vios? With a difference of 10K in car price. Thank you

Hi just want to ask whether anyone bought an Honda Insight lately. It is a dead-end model, no longer in production but still going for 60-57k. What do you think is a good price for it?
1. Brand : Honda Insight (Used) 2011 2. Budget : Price that I want (48-50k) 3. New/Used/Unreg : Used 4. Specs : Standard 5. Transmission :Auto 6. NA or FI : NA mild hybrid 7. Type : 4 seater. 8. Remarks : I wanted this car for quite some time but now waiting for it to drop price even more. The price on Carlist and Mudah all around 60-58k which I think is very expensive for an end-of-line model. Plus they usually jack up the price for more nego room. So realistically can I get 50k for the 2011 Insight ar? Thank you

QUOTE(iiapaii @ Jan 15 2015, 09:44 AM) hi all, i plan to buy in cash 2nd hand car (Hyundai i10 2011) for my wife, went to one used car seller yesterday & after agreed with the price, seller ask me to pay 30% to confirm booking. Is it normal or how it suppose to be. What is the normal procedure when buying car at used car dealer? thanks Hi there. DON'T. IT IS A CONBy law you are only required to pay 1% of the vehicle price as a booking fee! And if your loan application is not successful they are required to return 90% of the booking fee. Deposit does not equal to booking fee! You are not required to pay any deposit for booking the vehicle. Walk away from that store, the dealer are probably unscrupulous.
