Just want to ask for suggestion.

Current vehicle: Perdana V6
Reason to change: Car burnt up 6 days ago due to short circuit at the battery

Budget: 20K (That is all I am getting from the insurance) Can't afford a brand new car at the moment
Brand: A toss up between a civic 1997 or a toyota (unsure which one to get)
Usage: Daily commute for work with a jamm or 2 thrown in
Transmission: Auto
Seaters: 5 seaters max
Maintenace: low - average
Fuel consumption: average
HP: not a concern...my racing days are over
cc: < 2000

I dont mind spending some money to fix the car up but within a reasonable budget (5K)

I would love too but the maintenance cost the 2nd hand perdana's are pretty high. At bare minimum I would need to replace the arms....shocks and mountings....and overhaul the engines plus replace the disk brakes and pads and hose..plus some other minor minor work here and there.

All in all...10K when I check about 2-3 weeks ago
