Is Viking similar grade as GT? What are the equivalent brands for Viking?
175/65R14 quoted RM130 for both.

Trying Viking for the 1st time. 175/65R14 for RM130 per donut, include valve, balancing and alignment. Exclude GST.

If you observe tyres at car parks, can spot Viking around. Saw even on luxury cars such as BMWs. Of course their market share is small being a relatively new brand but I think it is slowly growing. The more common brands that I observe are Michelin, Continental, Dunlop, Bridgestone, etc

I change to Viking tire and kind of regret it as the air keep on leaking from my kenari and I have to pump it up almost every week. The jelutong tire shop I send it say the weight balance at the side cause the air to escape and they adjust it but after a month. It will come back again. The tire side is hard and does not grip the rim well causing the air to escape faster than normal tire. I get it at RM150/each. No problem for the rear tire as it does not turn much as the front those causing the air to leak out. I will change the two front tire to some other brand and keep the rear one for now. The two extra from the front will be use for rear when it botak.

Possible leaking from the air valves?

They check it and replace the valve but later trace to the weight click to the tire that leak air out. Now, I try to pump at 260 to keep the tire straight and hard.

If really tyre problem, they should replace them for you. Should be under warranty.

i am using viking PT5 treadwear 360 for 1 year 20000km already, so far so good. i guess it is more durable than City tech 5 of treadwear 240 because someone here his tyre just exploded

I guess too coz I'm using Protech 40,000km with no issues. Perhaps Protech much better compared to Citytech.
