Hey I'm looking forward to start this game, how active is this game in Malaysia?

i'm not sure what you meant by "in malaysia" since there is no localized server. all the servers are in USA/EU.

if you meant malaysian GW2 community, i should say it still very much alive, though we are very much scattered across various servers.

HAX, RW, TIME in CD. CCTV, LYN, PwN in SoS. and few others too....

hmmm if Sea of Sorrows (NA) i think only remain CCTV as active malaysian guild. LYN and PWN no more active.

not sure what happen to Not Another Gaming Acronym [NAGA] after they moved from CD to TC. still active ?

I intend to start GW2 too, not many players in LYN?

i think NAGA is still active. not sure about players count though.

LYN guild has not been active for a very time. zero players representing. the guild founder of LYN has also joined us and representing CCTV though he is not active at the moment.

these days, in CCTV we have 50+ members online every night, at least 30+ actively representing CCTV, maybe 10+ actively chatting in the guild chat channel.

our facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/gw2.cctv/ is more active than our lowyat forum tered though.

Any idea where I can get GW2 around KL?

Not sure retailers in KL still carry stock, but maybe you can try some of the online sellers in Tradezone?

Heavyarm has a shop in Subang, but no idea if he still stocks.

Also even if you have the hard copy to install, there's huge patches to download.

the file size is around 17GB now. if you have friends already playing GW2, you can simply copy his GW2 folder, no installation needed....

I know in PJ, 1U, Tropicana City Mall's Gamer Hideout still got GW2.
I think SS2 software boutique might have.

I think I might be 1 of the the few fella Malaysians in Borlis Pass still active every day (without fail) in GW2.

why stay in borlis pass? part of an active guild in borlis pass?

Still playing, and now with the LFG tool up, at least still can easily find people for dungeon.

unker, why do you guys not do guild puzzle ? it's fun....

well it is fun only if everyone doing the guild puzzle knows what they are doing.

the first and the last time we attempted it.

ascalon puzzle - failed, did not finish, took a lot of time at the mirrors

snow land puzzle - success, but only half of us got into the end room with the reward chest, the other half are locked out of the final room.

i always tell new members asking about guild puzzles if they can form up a team of 6 - 12 members we can activate the guild puzzle for them.

no one ever brought up a team for guild puzzles though.

in terms of guild commendations farming efficiency, the easiest is

guild bounty tier 3, choose 1 of 6 targets, ignore the rest

and we activate guild challenge, guild rush before 9pm, so we get a preview of whats coming.
if we get crab rush, we activate the crab rush and let it fail so we can start another guild rush.

as for guild challenge, the most high failure rate one that we encountered is the protect quaggan one.
but we have not had that guild challenge for a very long time.

nowadays its mostly crab toss, skrit defense, save our supplies, 1 ogre 2 devourers, destroy 6 crystals

ah quaggan...

i recall one time we had an event popping at the same time..

then suddenly "failed" .... WTH.. *blurrr*

ended we were protecting the wrong quaggans / getting distracted

yeah... the quaggan challenge mission i notice they do scale to how many are there in a team that is escorting a quaggan... the other potential failing for us was the defend supply.. hate those stalkers.. but tonight we did it successfully with the help from few other guilds...

i have to agree on guild puzzle.. need very careful coordination, and most important thing is for everyone to be is voice comm ( teamspeak, mumble etc). sometimes things are delayed because we need to port someone back to the room just because he is left outside because of afking...

ooo the save our supplies one we only failed once because not enough members doing it that time.

other times no problem since more than enough members.

the quaggan escort one we only got it a few times, never succeed lul.
