Does anyone know what's the deal with the 'new' set of guards i.e. those sporting the RELA look.

Hmm...I dread to think of the traffic in this area in future. Looks like i might start being dependent on the LRT. LOL!

Saw a notice. GI pipe replacement cash call will be announced soon. Wonder how much each unit needs to pay...hmmm.

Is it going to be compulsory? What about those households which can't afford them?

I think it's going to be compulsory. That's what was agreed to during the AGM where the majority rejected the setting up of a sinking fund but to make cash calls instead.

Hmm...I truly pity those households who are struggling to make ends meet.

Many, if not most, of the home owners at Bukit OUG Cobdo are low to middle income earners, having bought their units when the price was rock bottom.

Now they are being compelled to pay different kind of 'fees' in order to maintain the condo.

Lesson to many - Staying in condo is never cheaper than staying in a landed house.

Compulsory only looks good on paper. The implementation is extremely slack in B OUG. Only those willing to pay will pay. The stubborn ones will conveniently ignore.

That IMO is the best course of action

Of course. Maintenance fees goes towards maintenance of the condo facilities that you don't get with a landed house. It's not a fair comparison.
