The bulls are indeed still in charge..yet again.

Watch for another day or so for SP500 1890-1900. Let see if bulls can turn into bears one more time or not. tongue.gif

Earnings period is usually bullish, with continue of money printing, low borrowing interest rate and bond purchase..
As long as these companies make profit and growth, it would not bring you to Holland but
instead go to Disneyland for vacation..
For LVS, the major shareholder control more than 51%, authorizes usd 2B share buyback/repurchase program,
less common shares floating in market, qrtrly dividend of usd 50 cents, good qrtrly cashflow to expand to
new market segment in Vietnam, S.Korea + Jpn.. Target Price Aim = 180 - 200 in 3 - 4 years..

looking good for mid term? with the extra 30b payout and split, will it go back to 600+? looking good although commemtators said investors are looking for growth companies such as fb and twtr. wb too ?

for fb it has proven it can generate revenue quarter after quarter and it is increasing.....so i think it is a good investment
but twtr and wb has not done so.....so it is good for short term punting but not to keep long term....not at least until it shows some good results

Agreed. Good prospects for AAPL share price appreciation with 30B share buyback.
7-1 split will makes the share price "cheaper" and affordable for many investors .. Good + Huge cashflow too.

After reading thru their earnings report and looking at how the stock move AH, I think tomorrow will be a good day for existing longs but not good for late comers who wanted to buy it. Don't just dive in here.
It's going to hit resistance level between 565 and 571 (last high in Dec). So, be careful here.

Also, I think the real reason AAPL is splitting is because they wanted get into Dow 30, not because they said it makes it more easier for investors to own it because of cheaper price. Usually, when companies have the stock splits, it can bad effect too. The HFC preprogramed price an make it more volatile... more targets for bear raids if they have a bad quarter. Once it gets into Dow, AAPL is going to be like the next MSFT. Old skool tech.

For growth play...FB, TWTR and WB could be next AAPL.

Both AAPL and MSFT are still in Nasdaq .. Dow tracks 30 companies while Nasdaq tracks 4k companies..
DJIA is composed mainly of companies found on the NYSE, with only a couple of Nasdaq-listed stocks.
Why the main reason AAPL need to move to DJIA ? hmm.gif
