has anyone received a call from a person claiming to be from associates advantago about joining a venture largely in the area of asset management.

i received a couple of calls from one of their reps claiming that my strength (whatever that means) so on and so forth will be a good addition to the proposed joint venture. it smells fishy right from the word go, no matter how hard i pressed, she refused to divulge any specifics regarding the real nature of this so-called asset management venture instead claiming that a face to face discussion would be more suitable. i've heard that line many times and thus didn't fall into it. besides i just wouldn't feel i want to part with my time for something that reeks uncertainty no matter from where you look at it.

so in the end, she concluded that i'm playing hardball and certainly not a willing sycophant to join the proposed venture. and i'm pretty sure this isn't your typical headhunting company.

if anyone has been approached or know a thing or two about this particular venture or something that resembles what i nearly experience, please share your side of the story with us.
