Hi all,

Alza owner here, want to seek advice from fellow Alza owners here. Anyone DIY installed brake lock before?

I just bought a brake lock from an online seller, RM38 only.
I've managed to locate the alarm module and plugged this in between the existing connections.
The brake lock comes with 3 wires, according to the seller two of them needs to be connected to the buzzer. I don't need that cause my Alza already has buzzer and it's working even after I plug this in.

So for the remaining wire, I need to connect to the brake live wire.
Question is, which is the live wire? Red or white?
One of the wires will trigger immediate lock but the other will only trigger upon stepping on the brake, am I correct?

Anyone knows? Also anyone knows the best way to connect the wire without splicing the existing wires? I'm thinking to "sumbat" the wire into the existing connector end, would that be ok?

Thanks all!

P/s : Ok please ignore this question, I found a post by @wkchia with photos, it's tapped to white wire. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=72497190

Just to share info - for those who would like to DIY brake lock, you don't have to splice the existing wire. You can try using these spade connectors and stuff it into the socket and then use electrical tape to tape it tight. Works perfectly!

But very fast botak man, around 30k-40k gone. But it's a fantastic tyre!!!

If you have discipline and patience to keep RPM around 2k and below, you can easily get 7l/100km and below.

ya... really maintaining 2k is like impossible to me.  bangwall.gif

My wife and daughter will tembak me for driving so slow until jamming all cars behind.  vmad.gif

I normally goes with the flows not against it and also depends on what road you are in.  Driving at or below 2k rpm in hiway is much more dangerous.

why not stick to 185/55R15 but get good ones? e.g. Michelin Pilot Sport 3?

Hi newbie here,
I am driving p. Alza 185/55R15 tyre and now i wish to change to michelin 195/55R15, is it advisable? Please recommend the tyre shop with good workmanship area Puchong, Klang, PJ or Subang.
Fyi, i drive to town most of the time and I'm not racing type of person, safety is my main concern.
Thank you pals
