QUOTE(singk @ Jul 1 2014, 11:10 AM) Can't compare apple to durian bro. Can try add spring buffer to make the ride a lighter harder.Bear in mind the suspension of alza is design to take the load from 1 passenger - 7passenger, hence the design operating window is comparatively wider than the camry suspension. assuming 70kg per pax, in camry your max load delta would be 280kg, and in alza you have the delta of 420kg. And alza is comparatively lighter than camry which make the suspension tweaking harder compared to camry. Don't forget the price you pay for the car as well. The alza suspension is good when it's 2-4pax, it gets soft when it's fully loaded. it behave like 1st gen myvi when you throw in in the corner when fully loaded. That's my feeling on it. |

QUOTE(epsilonbuilding @ Jul 2 2014, 09:22 AM) Could anyone suggest on WHERE to get that absorber buffer installed in Puchong? I bought from lelong.com.my I call up the SC in PUCHONG (Both Puchong Jaya and the Bkt Puchong) but they only offer to add the buzzer sound, no option to order buffer from them. DIY install. can check lowyat Alza V2. got put some photo there. |

QUOTE(Kiefer @ Jul 23 2014, 11:49 AM) Please aware that the front strut bar will block airfilter cover.. which will prevent accessing / changing the airfilter. So everytime, you will need to loosen / take out the strut bar to change the filter. I also use UR front strut bar & DIY install it. Did shared some pics at V2 thread. That is what happening to my alza. I am using UR. No need remove strut bar when remove air filter. 1. Open all air filter cover clips. 2. Raise the air filter cover up with both hands. 3. Insert index+middle fingers to hold the air filter inside. 4. Slowly slide out airfilter together with the filter cover. Same for myvi with UR strut bar. Very troublesome to remove strut bar everytime open air filter cover to access the air filter. Alot of work especially for Alza. |

Those who afraid void warranty better dont change anything at all. Just go service & replace at P2.
Wanna share some stuff I am trying. Proride brake pad. Good brake modulation, no more dirty rims. Also no squeeling noise. Before this changed to some brandX pad very noisy when braking. Proride brek pad -RM57 front set only DIY installation. Also bought a pair of Proride brake disc RM330 but have not install yet. The ori disc still have some life to go. Many otai in myalza use this brand. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(darkdevilrey @ Jul 29 2014, 09:03 PM) how much sc charge for brake pad replacement WITHOUT brake bleeding ? I change my brek pad during 20k servis at a Penang SC.i was quote RM180 wonder what's the spec for "original" brake pad from p2 ? They charged me RM159.80, no extra labor charge. It is overprice for such lousy pads. That is why I switched to proride now (mileage 41k) after read the recommendations in myalza forum. My driving style 1 year 1 set of brek pad. QUOTE(singk @ Jul 30 2014, 01:43 AM) i saw it once it was like 120 or 130 per pair, so it makes the labour cost about RM50-60 then... however on the spec, no idea what brand of pad they use. i only know Saga BLM uses Mintye as their OEM pads. The otai in myalza had extensive discussion on this previous.P2 OEM front brek pad for Alza is Lucas brand. Btw, Alza front brek pad similar to Waja front pad. |

QUOTE(darkdevilrey @ Jul 30 2014, 06:38 PM) similar as in compatible anot I not sure bout the new facelifted Alza leh.all the brake pad looks similar to me but is there any different between old alza and new alza ??? Had tried these Waja brek pads on my old model Alza. 1. Cap X brand, RM80. Cannot tahan, very noisy. Use 1000km only. 2. Proride, RM57 only. Also for Waja. Part no.1402 |
