Go straight to betamek factory in rawang..i got mine changed to a brand new there..but im using a myvi..

I did that on the advice of Perodua Service centre. My hands free would not download the contact list from my phone. After trying several phones of differend brands! So i took one day leave. When I got there, was treated like an idiot by very unhelpful and to my mind unknowledgeable staff.

They said software got problem. Would take one or two weeks to fix; that was 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. It seems like the media unit is a lousy product as others having different problems. Anyone else got problems with hands-free?

BTW my Alza Advanced is just 6 weeks old, n already need to go back for replacement parts to stop load knocking noise :-( Another 1 day leave used up, although they did fix immediately n now running well. rclxms.gif

Perodua sc segambut said the screen was done by another vendor, for faster servicing its better I drive to subang to look for vendor as if I let perodua sc settle for me need to wait longer.

Be careful as I got same advice from pj sc about my hands free. Took day leave and travel all d way to Rawang, paying all d tolls, only to be told they cannot do. Perodua should have known about this problem and not sent me on a wild goose chase. I am currently persuing via their customer relations, but barely satisfactory.

I suggest you phone first n make sure they can help you before you waste your time and money!

icon_question.gif Also can you make a fuss about hands free - I think Betamac are not taking the matter seriously hmm.gif

Good luck with all your repairs. I hope your car soon looks like new again!

Thx mate, so far i rarely use the hands free contact to dail numbers but just phone calls. My only issue is the gps kept lagging the system too much, and User Interface lagging.

But I can bare with all this at the moment, worst come to worst I'll just discard the original screen and install a good brand in.

Hi, I think if enough people make a fuss about the quality of this unit's many failings maybe Perodua will replace with a better unit.

My GPS is ok, although the voice and directions not as good as Waze! The DVD player is fine; the radio is a bit 'deaf' eg does not pick up signal from Singapore as far as my old Kenwood radio did; USB plays n remembers place ok; bluetooth streaming satisfactory; incoming phonecalls fine, but cannot download contact list! This is a real hassle for me, as it was a function I used a lot on my Viva which i fitted with a Kenwood radio with BT.

Reading this forum would suggest that the quality control for this item is really poor, as different things seem wrong for different people, and Perodua should do something about it.

If I do not get some satisfaction soon I will take the matter to a higher level and try to show I am not alone with my dissatisfaction!

You know what, I will make the complaint along with my alarm issue. They replaced the Alarm door sensor at the Hood area, now when I reach home the alarm trigger when I lock my car again. Some other door should still have that defected Alarm sensor.
*
Thanks. The more people complaining aboutthe hands free the better! BTW they said they will let ALL sc know about the issue. I doubt they have. It will be interesting to know if your sc asks you to go to Rawang for a faster service, or explain that it is a known issue which is under review!

I hope the 'plastic surgery'goes well smile.gif

Nonono, they asked me to go subang as the vendor is at subang, they are well aware of the screen lagging and etc.
*
Ok. They sent me to Rawang to fix hands free not downloading contacts. PJ SC was unaware that there was an unresolved issue! They told me it woul be fixed on the spot, however it was a wild goose chase, as 3 weeks later the problem I still not fixed. They say the software has a problem.

I say if they had popper quality control, the unit should have been thoroughly tested with ALL popular phone brands BEFORE it was installed in vehicles. I tried with Samsung, iPhone, and Sony, all failed to download the contacts.

For me this is a very basic function of hands free and should be a routine part of quality control. I think QC is sadly lacking in Perodua cry.gif

I'm  driving the se version. The advanced version have the entertainment multimedia with gps and parking camera, leather seat and electronic retractable side mirror. Other than that all are the same with se version.
*
I got my advanced version May 1st and already had 2nd service (10,000km)! So far I am quite happy with the performance and fc. Town driving around 8.5 and travel to Johor from Kl about 7.0.

For me the multimedia, gps and rear camera are worth the extra. At last they have updated the bluetooth software so the hands free downloads my contacts and works fine rclxms.gif

All in all, a good vehicle for the price, and enjoyable to drive.

You are right, sometimes saw some expensive cars in IKEA having problem loading their things.

With 2nd and 3rd rows folding down flat, you can put in lots of stuffs.
