Hi Darkevilrey & Eithanius,

1. yes, stock tyres is a problem. Change to better donuts for the safety of everyone. Most tyre shops do trade in of old tyres for new ones. If anyone planning to change audio system, etc, Priortise to have tyres change first.

2. Alza has heavy rear. Next change to harder rear absorbers when it is due.

3. aero dynamic... not so as Alza is not that high.

4. clearance, good enough as usual.

.... summary is that stock tyres sucks. with these few weeks heavy rains, better tyres works much better.
Dont drive 120kph during heavy rain. I drive max 80kph on hiways when heavy rains due to visibility and unforeseen deep water patches.

You know some cars in fast lane just emergency brake when saw even small patch water.

QUOTE(darkdevilrey @ Apr 29 2014, 08:53 PM)
anyone notice stock alza if go beyond 60km/h during heavy rain, it is most probably going to skid.

what's the issue there ???

1. due to stock tyre 185/55/15 silverstone M5 lousy?

2. due to car weight very light ?

3. due to aerodynamic issue compared to sedan?

4. floor clearance height higher than sedan?

please advise, really worry about alza owner since recently afternoon heavy rain.

my previous car going at 120km/h during heavy rain, no problems at all, no skid nothing.

water pond sure die la sweat.gif

1. It has been discussed throughout the entire thread and in fact the previous thread... M5 sucks, and a danger all Alza owners and other road users... Don't save up for the sake of saving money, spend it to change to better donuts...

2. Alza has a heavy ass...

3. No comment...

4. Probably...

And may I add the following...

5. The absence of VSA/VSC/ESP/ESC is one of the reasons I ditched my Alza...

6. Who in the right mind would speed 120kph during heavy rain even with stability control...?
Good luck...

Yes you can play video files saved in your USB flash drive with following conditions:
1) max resolution supported 720x480
2) The video format has to be AVI or MPEG
3) Video codec has to be MPEG4 or XVID

Thanks for advice, but I need further information from you, glad if you could answer me...

Do you mean, betamek changed brand new unit for you there right away? How many hours you spent there at their factory? Need to make appointment first?

no need to do appointment if i recall correctly..my problem was the the touchscreen doesnt work..so they tested it 1st..after that they confirmed faulty then they change to another brand new unit..forgot already how many hours..but i would say not more than 3 hours..if u sent to perodua sc to repair the problem, they will remove the HU to sent to betamek also and might take a few weeks..to get it fixed asap, we can also go there..

got my alza about 2 weeks ago, changed the front speaker to "Hertz 165.6" component spk and add a 2ch power amp "Clarion XH5210",sounds fine, with good mid bass, which i myself quite like it,Head Unit original. However,i found the rear speaker really poor, even i add a 4ch power amp and a component Hertz and cross over for full range or mid, sound really disappointed.Anyone encounter this, pls advice, thanks in advance.

for suspension, just changed to lower spring, brand "Improve",keep the original absober, looks much better and so far quite satisfy,a bit different feel from original spring but still acceptable.

Can anyone please recommend a very good Perodua Service Center in Klang Valley?

My 4 years old car's rattling noises are getting worse and I really hope that there is a really good service center that can help me rectify some of the noises.

Almost the same... all depending on the situation.. if jam teruk like during the raining time, can be 2 hours in the jam for one way only.. then the mileage not good. Changing engine oil (or lighter oil) or maintain good engine condition will get good mileage.

K&N will not improve mileage.. it just have better air flow especially and better push when your engine on high RPMs.

Such issue does not happen to my decoder. The only problem is slow loading if playing a long duration video.
