Perhaps because they want you to get a new set from them and only then they will treat it as a real deal iridium and not simply replace it at 20K km interval. Its money for them, that's all.

I ask my SA (sales advisor or SE) and was told the stock is the normal spark plugs only. So I change to iridium just now during my 20000km service. Total damage for today RM491.30. Dashboard has slight rattle, but will temp live with it first.

bro, i believe you shouldn't able to see any significant spark plug related problem unless they install it wrongly or the plug itself a kaput item initially. i personally felt that P2 engines have some good margins left in terms of the design (simply means that you can squeeze more from it i.e doing modification on it to obtain more power),

P.S: this statement is my personal feeling as i taking Campro IAFM as a benchmark to compare to K3-VE & 3SZ-VE engines. no bashing for P1 as i do selang seli driving Saga BLM and alza, sometimes my wife's myvi.
