Thanks for sharing, pretty scary if too obvious for sound

Other than lack of soundproofing and lethargic engine its quite good car, reliable and cheap maintenance at least for me

Recently my alza doing about the same. Only fuel consumption is around 9.6L/100km, it wont drop further. Full KL city drive.
Done 1st service before CNY too.

I dunno by changing the tyres to 195 55 R15 will affect the consumption reading or not. Is my fuel cons too high?
*
Do you reset your meter every time while fueling. Your alza mileage how many km....mine normally around 7.5 to 8.8 l/100km. But my daily drive 50/50 hiway and city. Normally full tank can last 420km before blinking with range around 130km and i've few times driving until range meter become ---- ha ha

195/55/15 fuel consumption not much different..more less the same

Long distance drive better put a bit high tyre pressure to slow down tyre heat build up. Normally i pump 235kpa @ 34psi

anyone tried bluetooth obd2 adapter on alza FL2014? i have a feeling that it's still not usable as i don't think P2 will be updating the ECU for FL model.
*
For p2, only myvi 1.3 can use obd2 for the time being.

Hi All,

just to share.. my Alza clocked 90k km now.  Doing some parts change.

1. Front (Pro-tech) and rear brake pads
2. front brake disc (TRW) - due to warp disc.
3. Auto Gear oil with ATF filter set.

I notice Alza speedometer is faster (about 10 km/h) than what my GPS indicate and actual distance covered is less by 100m per every km since day 1 getting the car. The distance covered is verified by the milestones indicators on the road. Any advice?
*
Speedometer normal...but haven't check distance

ya.. i checked with few and also perodua centre plus also my mechanic.  It is this red cap not the green cap.  Even the parts dealer said and confirm it is this red cap.
*
Sorry bro, i beg to differ. i've already make mistake like you....foreman pour sp3 into alza gb while 120k km service. At 140k km service the atf color black already like engine oil. I've to change atf 2 times and change atf filter to make sure atf become fresh again.

Not all foreman/ spare part shop know about atf grade. Summore alza manual stated atf d3-sp which is newly introduce for p2 (iinm). D3-sp is still dexron 3 with special formula, not atf sp3

This pic from alza owners manual book, page 17-3

Hi. I noticed that my Alza brake system is damn poor. even i asked service person to higher up the abs system also not really good in brake.Any other method can improve the brake system, etc change brake pad? smtg lik that. Thanks a lot.
*
What do you want to improve..

1. Brake pedal feel.....change brake hose to steel braided hose
2. More bite...change to better brake pad but normally harder material and will makan disc
3. Tyre...change to better tyre to eliminate tyre skid

First thing to do....bleed your brake and use dot4 brake fluid

Hi bro. Thank for advise. i think i want more bite as u mean. which brake pad brand recommended? what is original brake fluid type? Thanks. newbie for all of this.lol. notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
Alza front brake pad same as waja, there are many to choose from...

Before this i'm using pro-ride....harder material, better bite and less dust and now using back ori p2 bcoz that time workshop dont have stock

Ori brake fluid dot4, if bleed at outside workshop, some of them using dot3

[attachmentid=4353811]Just get my new Alza SE one or day before CNY.
Immediately sent to accessories to install "auto lock upon brake build in buzzer when lock/unlock car" and cost me for RM50 with labor for replacement.
Replace up MUGEN window guard/spoiler for RM65/= with labor.

Few days ago, drive to Spg Pulai, Perak from Penang. Reset the FC at Bukit Merah and heading directly to Spg Pulai and the FC is app 6.2L/100km using PETRONAS ROI95. Number of passenger =1.

Overall, FC wise is very satisfy. But, power wise is not happy. The auto (D4) not able to hike Ipoh top mountain. It move like turtle for only app 55km/hrs using D4 mode. Hence, got to change it to D3 mode.
Noticed that it's very difficult to reach 120km/hrs. I mean pickup. Unless, I press throttle FULL/CRAZY.

Perhaps maybe the car is too new as  total ODO now is app 600km.  Maybe the computer not yet get use with my driving method or the piston and mechanical part is still tight and need more exercise.
*
Your alza engine still tight, after break in period should be able to chase stream rsz ha ha...(chase only cannot potong ha ha)

Hi all,

Want to ask, my ODO is about 4800km @ 9l/100km before I start my jb to Penang. now my ODO is 7l/100km @about 5500km.
The 7l/100km is base on 0-5500km? Or 4800-5500km only?
(I got reset distance meter @trip A), but only show trip A distance, not the FC.
*
Set your meter to odo, then push reset button for around 3 second...then push one time either to see range or fc meter...after fc meter appear...push until it reset

Your avg from 0 - 5500km

My car is standard from perodua. Haven't change anything at all. But I don't care much about the speedometer as long as I know what speed I'm actually driving at that time. Just to avoid any speed trap.

This is from my other car...same also..speedometer over read...

It has been more than 5 years already?

There's no news on the NEW Toyota Sette or Daihutsu so I guess it won't come anytime soon.

I haven even tried to see the spare tyre before. Now i am servicing the car at 30k km. I insist on the basic service only cause i already changed the necessary at 20k km. The lady showed me sour face and told me "kita tidak akan bertanggung jawab atas apa apa masalah kereta nanti". Jangan la marah ya. Nanti muka kedut. Haha
*
Do take note, cannot put alza full size tyre in alza spare tyre compartment. Have to put inside if punctured
