same experience with touch control here and some more i cant really stand the battery drain and the compatible problem when the kernel update.

im using rastakat too, you can set slide up to sleep in the build tweak > quick lunch setting
as for waking the phone, im using semaphore kernel with double tap to wake.
good battery life and dt2w never fail or cause other problem.
of cause i did tweaked the kernel setting a bit via the semaphore free app.

undervolting: enabled
undervolting parameter > lower uV: 100000

never got the sim problem, maybe try exchange a new sim card

i want to screenshot game but its too slow and miss the screen i want...

i can get 6 hour SOT on wifi when browsing on the first year.
now only 4.5 hour SOT on wifi.

still no reason to ditch my nexus 4

you need custom kernel not rom for touch wake up.
im using semaphore and have no problem at all with same battery drain.

for lock screen u can try grenify, it is mainly use for hibernate app but got a
function to replace the swipe up to lock the screen.
