Hi all, I need some advice here. Is it possible to take P2, p6 & p7 in one sitting? If yes, how can I do it and will it be too heavy to cope?

QUOTE(donizback @ Aug 19 2014, 10:52 AM) Hi, hope are you alright! Hi, thanks for your reply and advise.Well frankly speaking, if you find P6, P7 or P2 interesting then passing them won't be an issue for you. If you force yourself to study them, well then you would struggle to pass it. I am NOT saying this to brag here but I am about to complete my P4 and P7 syllabus, hopefully, by tomorrow afternoon and it took me exactly 10 days to do it along with some basic examples! I found them so interesting that I kept studying both the papers for at least 5-6 hours everyday! But as for P3, I am still on to the 4th chapter of the BPP book; I feel it is kinda boring! Be committed. Study a little every day and you shall surely succeed Actually, i am worry about p6 syllabus the most. Because the syllabus is bulky and need a lots of memorise, while i am going to take p2 as well. So i afraid cant cope with that much. I observe that a lots of people stated that p7 and p2 is relate, therefore i decide to take p7. P6 is what i am concerning, whether to take it together in this sitting. |

QUOTE(donizback @ Aug 19 2014, 02:38 PM) Well, P6 is never easy (at least for me) because we have to memorize a lot of stuff there. So I suggest you take normal classes for P6 in a reputable college. Thanks, yes i appreciate if u could send me the list of the IAS, as it's really a lots of standard that need to be memorise in p2 As for P2, it is no difficult. I can send you the list of the most important IAS and IFRS which you can study in a greater detail and pass P2. This is a repetitive paper and moreover if you are good in consolidations (section A of the paper), you shall pass this paper. However, as a full time student, you can pass these three papers with comfort Do u mind to share how u study p2? i found the standard is a lots! and it seem like impossible to remember them all |

QUOTE(nick67 @ Aug 20 2014, 01:40 PM) Yep P6 is bulky. I actually managed to pass it via self-study. But frankly I would advice against taking all 3 together. P2 and P7 is equally bulky. And to me, P2 is really a tough one. I went through the past years with Ms Menon and she demonstrated how the examiner can ask even the most minute detail in an IAS/IFRS. In other words you need to have a good understanding of the IAS and not just the brief outline of each. It's pretty technical. Of course there would be spotted topics(which you are expected to know thoroughly). Other than that for P2 you need to learn techniques and short cuts to consolidate or prepare a statement. Wow! self study and passed p6 Never took P7 as I dislike auditing but my peers told me it's heavy too. The standards you learn in P2 is applicable in P7 as well. Regarding P6, I decided to self-study it because the class I wanted to attend (Ms Rozi) was full. It's difficult but doable. Mind to share how u self study for it? Because i got a friend, took p6 three times still cant pass, and she did went for classes too |
