Hi all, I'd like to know if F5+F6+F7 would be more doable or F7+F8+F9 in a sitting?
*
F6 and F7 are pretty straightforward.
F5 might be abit challenging.
F8 too.
I would say about the same. But this would be depending on the individual

I am a Sunway Student, but after this semester , I have taken all my papers before P papers edy. Done 1 out of 2 years of the course. I am thinking of self studying the P papers.

Can I drop out? What are the cons? I can't take the cost of transportation and the tuition fees are too expensive edy. Why should or shouldn't I drop out?

Hi
Is CAT-ACCA course in KDU good?
Are the lecturers good?
Well, Sunway is too expensive for me, not just its tuition fees, but also the surrounding(yeah you know it’s Bandar Sunway)
I would also like to know some information about Damansara Jaya

since you already look for online, there's no reason to limit your choice to Malaysian education provider.

I use Acowtancy and it's only 99GBP or 599MYR per paper.

I'm using it for AFM and AAA. Almost done with AFM and just started with AAA.

There're other providers such as TheExpGroup but it is pricer and forces you to buy with the textbook together.

I come across a tuition provider named J Pro, which is providing tuition for 3 months. Is there anyone took courses from this provider and passed?

Hi guys

This is the latest update for ACCA
1. June 2021 is the first ACCA Professional level exams in CBE format for all papers - SBL - SBR. - AFM - ATX - AAA - APM
2. Syllabus change in September 2021 for all papers except for ATX (Mys)
3. Beware of problems taking CBE based exams - system failure could occur and shift your plans down the road by 3 months

Text book available
BPP
Kaplan
Is a text book needed? - not necessarily unless you like to hold to text book

Advice
If you are planning to study for ACCA; there are many choices to select from - however there is always a plus and minus for each approach that you have to consider. There is currently no list of recommended lecturers since all lecturers are recommendable if they have experience teaching ACCA in the past.

Can I study in 3 months per paper?
Yes - but you need to be disciplined

Can I study in 6 months for two papers?
Yes - this is the usual approach taken by most colleges

Can I study over 9 months for one papers?
Yes - this is rare but may be taken by those who are having too much work pressure

Booking advice
You will always be studying SBR (International); AAA (International); ATX (Malaysia). APM and AFM has no variant
Please book your exam before starting the course - this ensures the exam seat is available in your preferred location.

Which optional paper should I take?
- All the optional papers have similar level of difficulty
- Getting advice from another student on which is better is like asking a fisherman whether fishing is easy when you have never fished before.
- Follow you heart in making this decision but there is a 4x fail requirement to switch
- If you fail a paper; don't blame the lecturer immediately; but if you fail the paper 3 - 4 times with the same lecturer; it may be worthwhile to get a fresh view of the paper from another lecturer
- If you fail a paper; ask yourself if you had put in 100% from the start or 100% near the end?

CAT Update
You don't need to take CAT from 2021 onwards; you will be able to take Foundation in Accountancy (This is 7 paper exam)
Most colleges will transit from CAT - 9 paper to FIA - 7 paper by Jan - April 2021

Is FIA easier that normal foundation program - YES; mostly computer based and almost 95% MCQ only. However FIA is a single route foundation - it leads to ACCA only.

Good luck preparing for ACCA June 2021 - First CBE based exams for Professional level

Hi, I understand that doing full time with a college has its benefits, among them, I am told, the college will assist in finding a placement for your practical training. Is this true?

What about those who self study? How difficult is it for them to find openings for their practical training?
