Hi, I'm new to ACCA and I wish to register through myACCA portal, however, I have heard that you have to pay double member fees if you register now because the end of the year is approaching. So I have to pay again in 2018? Should I register on Jan 2018 instead?

Taken from ACCA website:"In your first year you’ll have to pay for your initial registration fee and your subscription fee if you become a student before 9 May." So if you register now, you only need to pay for your registrarion fee, subscription fee for 2017 is not required to pay. |

I have another question, since I am new to ACCA, I wish to finish P1 and P3 as soon as possible before the merge happens but I am not too confident about this. The next exam will be at March. I still have F9 to attempt. (F1-F8 exempted) I don't think I can attempt three papers under six months considering that I have a full time job. Should I risk it? |

QUOTE(ActuallyFlawed @ Oct 2 2017, 02:30 PM) Thanks! Why don't you attempt F9 for this coming Dec exam? 2 months should be enough to prepare one paper. Then you can have 6 months to prepare P1 and P3. In my opinion, it is not hard to pass both P1 and P3 in one sitting, because the two papers have many things in common and I found them the easiest among the other professional papers. In the end, it varies from one person to another.I have another question, since I am new to ACCA, I wish to finish P1 and P3 as soon as possible before the merge happens but I am not too confident about this. Hi people, i would like to ask if there’s anyone who’s working in big 4 and has yet to complete ACCA? I’m ACCA student from the scratch and I would like to apply for job under the firms while I’m still doing ACCA. I have 3 papers remaining and I’ll be left with one paper after december, hopefully. Any advice? Thanks in advanced!

hi all.
Recently, one veteran suggested to me to take my exam with UITM students, with intention to outshine the other candidate's answer paper (he assume UITM student are not smart). However, after I check with my colleague who is part timer lecturer in UITM, their passing rate is higher than world rate. So, though the idea to outshine other candidate is good, UITM seem to be a wrong option then. Which college is the lowest passing rate in klang valley? I'm looking to register for Dec exam. |

For the annual CPD declaration, do we need to "attach" any evidence into our myACCA portal? Or do we just click off the declaration and the evidence we just keep it to ourselves till ACCA request?

Any advice? Thanks in advanced! I applied for Big 4 firm before finishing my papers online, and managed to get a call back, even though I had 2 papers remaining, but that was a long time ago (6 years!). Anyways, no harm applying online at the big 4 and submitting your documents! It might help if you have completed the OBU degree component as well. Good luck! |

You can apply to Big 4 with 2 papers pending in your ACCA but not all will take you.
Some students get in because of timing and others is a matter of need of the firms at that time. If you already have a degree, this is not an issue - you will get in unless other factors are blocking If you have only ACCA with 2 pending, this will be harder but not impossible.
