On last Saturday I went to Modern Home Fair in Mid Valley and survey for good bargain on air-cond.
I met one salesman that highly recommended Samsung as it comes with the new Triangle Design --> More air-in, bigger fan eventually more air-out (picture in spoiler).

Also, I found the guide from the link below on how to a proper size for air-cond :

http://voyager8.blogspot.com/2008/04/how-t...ner-wisely.html

http://papamy.panasonic.com.my/papamy/faq.html

http://www.energystar.gov/?c=roomac.pr_properly_sized

What it does it guide you to calculate the British thermal units per hour (Btu/hr) based on the room size in square feet, then compare to the table/chart in it, finally you shall have better picture what size of air-cond you need to get.

I follow the guide provided and found that the room I plan to install air-cond need around 11,000 of BTU capacity, that should be at least 1.5HP and not 1HP. doh.gif

they will alwaz recommend bigger HP 1.... install a fan and 1HP will do.... u dont need to get cold air all around the room...let the fan circulate it ...

how many sf ur room ? if 200-250sf, 1HP is sufficient

ur room 450-550sf ? its a living hall size , then 1.5hp only sufficient  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Thanks for the advice. smile.gif
My room size around 170sf and I thought getting 1HP is more than enough.
After reading the link I provided earlier, my room windows facing west and it is much hotter from afternoon until evening, that's why not sure should I stick to 1HP or move on with 1.5HP. rclxub.gif

I bought this Hitachi RAS-XE10CC from HLK SS2 in yesterday, with Installation cost around RM1350.

It comes with two years manufacture warranty + ten years compressor warranty. smile.gif

Any try on for brand Hitachi?

I bought Hitachi RAS-XE10CC for my room around April this year and it was not working two months later --> auto-turn off by itself! cry.gif

Contacted Hitachi support on Monday and got case number, they promised there will be follow-up on this. No response nor follow-up from Hitachi until I raised my complaint on Thursday, then they dispatched a technician to come over. vmad.gif

He took around 45 minutes to diagnostic the problem and then by changed the PCB in Outdoor unit, problem solved.

That's my experience with Hitachi after sales service. sweat.gif

That fast broke down alrdy?  rclxub.gif How come i cant search for your Model through hitachi website.

You didnt call your electrical shop for support? Why you have to call by yourself to settle the issue?

Taken more than 2 months (started on spoil on Jun and now Aug only get repaired)..very teruk la

This is DC Inverter Deluxe model. It was released in this earlier year but I'm not sure why it was removed from the Hitachi website.
The seller did assist me raise ticket with Hitachi and I asked him give me case number.
Since I'm in hurry to get this AC work again, I called Hitachi directly and was told their response time is 48 hours after case opened. But nobody follow-up with me until Thursday afternoon, so I called up Hitachi and complaint about their response time.

I see..so panasonic also acceptable in the market which better than hitachi ya?

i heard before recently early Aug from 1electrical shop, said Mitsubishi AC outdoor unit produce noise compare to other brand. and, he recommended electrolux.. rclxub.gif  really electrolux good in AC?? hmm.gif
*
Most forumer in here recommended to get ME, Daikin or Panasonic.
I think that SA want to get rid Electrolux AC from their store and push sales for it?
Also, most of the outdoor unit generate noise, just the matter it is either loud or quiet.
For Hitachi Outdoor unit... not too loud and I found it's good.
