Guys I'm thinking of getting an inverter based air cond for my room as I will be using it quite frequently and a non inverter for my living room due to less usage.
Is this a good idea ?
Also I'm considering between daikon and Panasonic. Which should I go for ? Or is there a better alternative ?
Get all inverter. Just one more not going to break your bank. Get Daikin
Alternative? I saw some solar powered air cons. I don't exactly know how it works though. Maybe like reverse heat pump

Any issues with daikin ? There seems to be a huge number of Panasonic followers here.
I have only used Daikin Inverter for like 10 months so have not really encounter any real problems yet. I find them easier to clean.
Previously I had Panasonic non inverters. Got few problems. Control boards, motor, etc And can't clean DIY
If I have a choice I like to get either Hitachi or Daikin. For my new place I'm not sure what they will give me. Hopefully these two. Just my own personal choice
Since you're the 1st in new install n gas pipe also brand new, why not try for R410a model to be save place n future all those Aircon equipment had changed to R410a gas already n maybe serving would cheaper than R22 now.
When install Aircon for the main reason is wanna cool down the room, if stand fan can take it, I guess no point to install Aircon for sleep as well
I agree, if new install and I have to put in my own piping, R410a is the way to go. That doesn't mean R22 is not cold. I'm the type that scared of feeling hot. 25C is quite cold for a bedroom and it is set to maximize savings on electricity.
Anyway I heard in a few more months there will be no more Daikin R22 Inverters.
