there's so much information here it can get confusing (to me at least)

i'm looking for an ac and would like some thoughts on it

- master room
- 1.5HP
- does it need to be an inverter? use it typically 8 hours a night
- anything extra is factored into cost (ionizer, etc)

What is the average pricing i can get, or where can i get it from?
price + reliability + (your experiences)

thank you!

1. Panasonic

3. Mitsubishi
4. Hitachi

2hp inverter the only way go with panasonic, they has improve an over outdoor unit.
Mitsubishi indoor too small and outdoor too big on 2hp inverter, that is not seem like better packaged, if like me will choose 2.5hp to instead over 2hp for ME inverter only.
Sharp cool door
Hitachi no really Gooding design.

Apart from inverter that using R410, I have not yet seeing non-inverter using R410, and non-inverter still selling well out there and widely available.

I don't know there is schedule when Malaysia is going to ban any sales of air-cond with R22,  ask before with those selling electrical appliances company, no answer given.

Totally phase out by 2030.

Hi,

May I know estimated cost for non-inverter 1hp outdoor fan not working ?

BTW, do anyone know any inverter or non-inverter 1hp aircond brand/model that cost below RM1k (without installation) that received 5 Star Energy Saving ?
*
fan not working possible due to either motor or the condenser, if condenser then can DIY if u have some basic know how on electrical.

Can't understand, nowadays electricity so expansive why still wanna looks for old fashion.

Inverter total installation cost would be add anather Rm300 only, every mths save 100 sure enough, come a cross to every months electric bill really so cheap to compare as pay another Rm300 for installed cost?

You can adjust yourself, don't cheat ppls non inverter would low running cost and get more cooling else.

For me most important of inverter Aircon can be quicky cooling faster with energy saving of the months.

Don't told us used less than shorter 8 hours can't be save more, that is really old school mindset already.

Comfort . Energy saving . Quiet realible .
All in inverter unit would be found it smile.gif

Search from Google and other forum, found out that Panasonic is too noisy and it takes longer time to cool your room because of the eco Navi function. Anyone can confirm this?

Similar function in some other Ac brand too. Just disable, because it will increase temperature when detect less movement this will make the area warmer. Of you want fast cooling switch to powerful mode, will cold faster also eat higher current. Most inverter have this function too.

But some ppls can't afford that noise Leh.

Honestly wanna cooling as fast, go for York cooling king, cheap and good for long run like office used.

Guys, may I know is normal aircon indoor unit will have any water dripping sound?

Reason I ask, is my Inverter Indoor unit can clearly hear the water dripping sound. Then I call the Service Centre since is under warranty, then the technician came and stick the foam on the water pan, it clearly reduce the water dripping sound. They say this is not defect, is just the design of the coil and pan is quite high, that why can hear the dripping sound.

But yesterday night I can hear the water dripping sound again, not very loud, but at the middle of the night, really can notice. rclxub.gif

What is ur model? Water dripping issue, may due to install, when installer for slightly over bending the cooper pipe, when gas & liquid runing can be create noise like dripping sound.

Please ask your contractor redo gas pipe else.

If need strong wind and less noise, the internal unit need to be big. Small and powerful sure noisy.

I was agree, cause ME 2hp indoor used same size like 1hp - 1.5hp blower, but outdoor oversize, that is why I chose over 2.5hp with longer surface and minimum fan speed can be realise all the area is cooling enought.

Arent we suppose to on eco navi to utilise the inverter capability? I'm 1st time user of Pana 1.5 inverter.

I also have another unit of basic Panasonic 2.5hp. I notice the blower is damm noisy when i put level 5 fan. But no noise when at level 4.

Econavi is additional function to help reduce usage, that is add on on top of inverter. if you don't use econavi function inverter still run.

Econavi and inverter is totally 2 different front.

Econavi is detecting movement in the room hence adjust the cooling delivery, so some electricity can be saved, when not utilised.

Inverter is the ability to run motor at variable speed to save electricity.

Even Econavi is off, inverter saving still able to achieve through temperature setting. Just you have econavi to add on top oo it.

Fans always give noise when being run at high rpm, same with computer processor fan, chassic fan. This is inevitable.
High rpm --> high noise.

Want quieter one, then need to run at low rpm, so the concept is always the same for all fan mechanism, that's why those computer cooling fan, when they want it to be quieter, they build it larger so that can run at low rpm with the same amount of output of airflow.
