I bought a Japanese version of the xbox 360 in Dec 2005. all OK until now. When I boot up, I only get 3 red lights. I then used to the sync & dvd eject button to get an error code of 0102, which is supposed to be an indeterminate error.

anyone know what I can do? Any xbox 360 repairers in Malaysia?

This brings back a lot of memories...albeit horrifying ones.

I got my own 3 Red Rings of Light story last time, and the 360 took a beating from my frustrated moments. Ended up changing the HDD.

If you're adventurous, open up your 360 and check the thermal paste (yes, the thermal paste) on the processor in the 360. Some DIY work does solve it for some of the folks on Xbox.com forum. This error might also indicate indeterminate hardware failures on your 360. Try removing the components ( HDD, Memory units, AV cable, power cord) and reinsert them back one by one. Check if this works. Also check if your transformer is working as it should. Since Japanese models requires stepdown current, this was another crucial part of the equation that needed satisfying.Try swapping other working transformers and see if it lifts the error code away.

Other than that, i wish you good luck.

I have removed all components including HDD but with no success.

I've tested the transformer and it seems OK. The power supply has a green light..

Tested my 3 red light console with a UK xbox 360 power supply and have same problem. Moved my hard disk to the UK console and it worked fine.

I wonder if I can get Singapre MS to do a warranty replacement on my Jap unit?

The problem is that their support number is a 800 number that doesnt work from Msia!

Got the 3 red light from my son's Xbox I suspect its the HDD, does that mean I have to get a new HDD? All saved games and profile would be wiped out too?
