yeah, it is indeed good and challenging in this field.

you always meet up all sort of people, from good to bad, from worse to worst too.

you tend to learn one or two number of tip from socialising with this people
regardless of their race and status.

the way they talk, the way they address, the way they convince people.

the power to speak basically.

if you doing sales, you must always be on alert and creative enough to close
the sales in nick of time if you think its good and potential in it.

if you doing marketing, creativity and profitability in plans and gimmicks to attract
potential buyers is a must.

so its like you have to step into buyer shoes and help them to think and thought
what's so good and bad in ur gimmick plans.

good luck

ah... I'm going to pursue my studies in marketing although I've been a science student for so long...

marketing to me is a very versatile field. you learn about PR, retailing, management, finance, entrepreneurship, organizing, etc.

however, when you go into marketing, you can't think of making big bucks. MArketing people don't earn alot. or at least they take quite a long time to start earning alot. But the experience you get and the skills you develop is definitely valuable. It basically prepares you to take on the business world at a larger scale.

I may not be a marketing student now but being an entrepreneur and working in sales definitely brushes up my marketing skills. I train myself to speak, persuade and sell. Also, to follow up so that I keep my customers loyal wink.gif

So far previously for the positions I applied for in relation to Sales and Marketing, there is a greater emphasis on sales rather than Marketing. But that is for the companies that I applied for though.
