anyone encountered lagness in high end games such as asphalt 8 , minion rush or even temple run 2 ? mine ipad air is in ios 7.0.4

did you manually close all other apps running in background. But IOS is really NOT a multi-task platform. My The Star ePaper is running in the background since yesterday night but only until i open it this morning it resume the download. I am talking about yesterday edition not today's one.

So no use having those apps suspend in the background, just terminate them all if you are not using them, to free up the limited ram.

Just reboot the ipad, any lag should be gone

Turn off auto updates,sometimes they lag due to downloading updates in background.

Asphalt 8 lag but if switch to in car view the game run a lot smoother. Real racing is silky smooth though. So I suppose it's app problem.

I think maybe the the games not support for 64bit processor yet.. Hope it become more fun next year

I guess its the optimisation part, many older apps are designed for 32 bit chips.

Yup, background apps are being given 10 minutes after screenlock to active, before they're suspended. That's why some people with slow connectivity sets autolock longer, while dimming the screen to the minimum.

Having the same lag issue with Dead Trigger 2 game.

But other games like Asphalt 8, Order and Chaos Online, Modern Combat 4, Soul Calibur, Eternity Warriors 3, Dungeon Defenders 4 have got no lag at all.

Probably Dead Trigger 2 haven't been optimised for ipad air...
