 Pentium D 930 Overclock, Anybody tried to oc it before?

Hey guys, i juz buy a Pentium D 930 3.0GHz. did anybody at here do the overclock before? the maximum i can go is onli 4.0GHz in stable mode, 4.53GHz for 3 mins..... can anyone provide advise to me on how to make it higher or make it more stable??? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

even though i also used pentium D 930, i still cannot OC it because i dont have a better HSF yet..by the way how much the temp of your chip when you OC it to 4GB..? and also what HSF did You use..?Mind to share... biggrin.gif

I think Intel Mainboards not allow to OC one... if not how they sell their processors?

Also I see ur sig u wanna upgrade to 4GB ram... I recently upgrade from 1GB to 2GB also no effect except I am poorer...

yup... vey99 is rite.. intel mobo are not oc'able.. dem.. if u are into OC.. juz drop down to ASUS, Gigabyte, or even MSI outlet.. best still ASUS... huhuhu...

to yhcyber.. i think u muz decrease the timing of your RAM.. look up for software such as cpu-z.. from there go into SPD tab and look up for the slot that u had install the RAM... jot the lowest frequency available.. n all other info.. under the lowest frequency.. then go BIOS.. under Integrated Chipset.. set the memory timing to lowest that u had jot down juz now..
this is bcuz.. when u increase the FSB, the RAM will increase too.. so use the lowest timing.. gd luck...
