You know the Hong Kong movie star maggie cheung once stayed in a condo facing the sea.

She thought that will give her enough privacy.

But finally she found that the technology was too advance and telescopes were too powerful and the sea view condo did not give her any privacy.

She had to pull the curtain to cover all the glass doors and windows, all the time.

Depends if its the fire prevention system or actual use one.
The actual use one will have splashing sound within the tank but generally as it is air gapped you may not really hear it.
If you're a light sleeper and/or sensitive towards noise then it should be avoided.
