To start off with, I had had unpleasant experience with Shashinki.

I sent my canon flash for bulb repair. Initially he quoted (RMxxx) sum. after that payment had been made, postage had been posted to him, he said your flash have problem with the wiring, need to top up extra (RM1xx) . Damn, because I alrealdy did postage, and the postage fee is bared by me, so I just go ahead and paid.

After that, when flash is returned to me, it was not fully functioning. Can see that his work is just mediocre. Just slimply do it for the sake of doing it. Recycling time was way slower, manual flash from 1/8 to 1/128 same power range.

What the hack.
I had wrote my complaint on his website, but he just deleted it off. SO I came here just to share my thought of his service. Hope others can have an insight as well.

My two cents, I'm not affilated with any company, just a passion with photography.

My first experience with them was already a bad one lol. Wanted to buy a camera sling bag from them, owner said in email that it can fit my camera including my lens (i gave him exact lens length and my dslr body model). When the item arrived, I could not even close the bag. Lucky I received 100% full refund.

I think you should post this in Photomalaysia lah, since the owner is also an admin there. See how he responds to your complaints.

Dispite that, it feels like PhotoMalaysia is fading away and the "owner" is no longer tending much to the forum.

That being said, I personally feel that Shashinki is a good place if you want to scout for items, but in temrs of price... I must admit that there a lot more competitive pricing from some physical store dealers out there. I've shopped in Shashinki a couple of times for tiny gadgets as I'm too lazy hunting them out from local stores. But for main items like cameras or lenses, I'd rather go to the local stores. icon_idea.gif

Agree on the pricing part. Shashinki's prices are wayyyy expensive than buying locally ...

i think the plus point of shashinki is they offer more item than we can find it at our shore.
but price wise is really cut-throat. good for those want, not so good for cheapskate like me. prefer to wait for bhphoto bulk blush.gif

Nice catch. Using YL's website, RM 170 plus should be about right. If go to YL's physical shop, you can get it cheaper.

Anyway, even though the price discrepancy is quite huge, nothing beats this;

http://shashinki.com/shop/sony-qx100-digit...es-p-16490.html

vs

http://www.sony.com.my/product/dsc-qx100

How is it possible that the Sony's official SRP is RM 629 lower?

Same case for the QX10 which Sony's official SRP is RM 429 lower. rolleyes.gif

You can go to their item and input the competitor price in the prepared column of 'any lower price than this we will try to beat them', see what they reply....lol

My experience is, they never reply at all. Hahahaha

Anyway, bought my X-rite i1displaypro calibrator from them before, chepest i can found in Malaysia store, online payment and collect at their shop.

Whoa... Suprised this thread resurrected. sweat.gif

How much did you get the i1display Pro? Got mine in January 2015 from B&Hphoto at USD 250. That time exchange rate was 3.5 if not wrong. ohmy.gif Going by today's exchange rates, B&H price is still competitive.

Placed my order and paid using Paypal 1 x Sennheiser AVX 2-Person Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System with Case Kit (1.9 GHz)
They acknowledged receipt of my order, let me know order was progressing and would let me know tracking details once shipped then I get an email order cancelled payment returned, what a complete waste of time be prepared to be messed about if you choose to purchase anything from these amateurs. Would definitely not recommend Shashinki.com vmad.gif
