actually all class almost the same as they have balance the spells to make it equal, so the best advice is know your class well , study thru wowhead and wowwiki (for lore) then choose you want to be range dps [mage,warlock,shaman,hunter,druid,priest] or melee dps [warrior,DK,pallymonk,rogue] then again decide which role to take [tanker,healer,dps] then look for the guides in google or the Official Forums section for guides either PvE or PvP, i've learn all this thru my experience in blizzlike private servers.Nowadays leveling is no longer as painful as those days as u have dungeon finder just que and you will get gears,gold and levels easier , while queing you can do quest to increase the speed of leveling.Good Luck Have Fun
