my wife gave birth in a private hospital in 2009 and the hospital take care of the registration. they ask for mine and wife's copy of IC and sijil nikah. within two weeks after giving birth, we got the birth certificate and my kid from the hospital not from JPN.

my sister in law, last month, give birth in the same hospital but now they told her to register herself to JPN Muar.

I guess the system has changed and it is better if we register byself then through agent (a.k.a hospital) for security reason.

hehehe... I mean the hospital register the birth certificate on my behalf to JPN. So, i just collect it from the hospital, dont have to go JPN.
