Is anyone here submitting their research to IEEE APCASE 2014?

Hmm...alright then. This is the first CFP that I'm joining (submitting an application).

Is any here major in computer science field? Anyone here knows much about Petri Nets?

I'm doing a paper on Petri Nets. While submitting my application for APCASE 2014, my choice for subject area is Model-Driven System Design. Because the concept of Petri Nets is that you can use Petri Nets tools to simulate, perform model checking for a particular system.

However the application require me to choose a secondary subject area which I can't seem to find any appropriate secondary subject area.

So guys, what can Petri Nets be classified in subject area other than Model-Driven development?

And also, if I do leave my secondary subject area blank, will it affect my paper acceptance?

Coz iinm, the chosen subject area also decides on who will be reviewing my extended abstract. If I didn't put a secondary subject area, I afraid if they could now find anyone to review my submission, my submission will not be accepted.

My supervisor has been telling me that there really are little people who studies or do research on Petri Nets nowadays. So I'm just trying my luck here to see if anyone knows about Petri Nets.

Primary subject area :: Model-Driven System Design

Secondary subject area :: <Discrete, Timed, or Hybrid> Petri Nets Algorithm ... (Pick one only)

But if your Petri net modelling technique is based on heuristic approach, then you may consider “Heuristic computation models and systems” as the secondary subject area, which is under the System theory and applications section.

2.) Proofread the extended abstract once more and correct all typographical and grammatical errors.

Why conditionally accepted? Means I need to fulfil the bottom 3 required changes?

For my extended abstract, I've already written in the Springer LNCS style too. Why they ask me to write again in that format?

That probably means the committee didn’t get a satisfactory formatted extended abstract from you even though you claimed that you followed exactly the Springer LNCS style. In other words, it is a subject-matter satisfaction determined by the committee.
