barcode u need to register with mida or sirim. cannot just pluck out of the sky and put your lucky numbers.

eaasiest way is to either call the staff at fmm for assistance or mida. both very helpful organizations.


for hypermart or supermarket listing, nobody accepts unregistered barcodes or false category barcodes. each time product failure or recall or trace back procedure will lead to barcode scanning and sales usually stop when barcode scanned at terminal has a product ceased operation.

in simple words, u need to register for RM 2k and get 10 barcode numbers. (i think, long time i didnt do this)
those 10 sets of barcode numbers will be given to you upon payment and tied only to your company registration. u do not need to state whcih product uses which barcode. that is internal information. they only need to know who the 10 is being held and used by.
