Manchester United are reportedly head of the queue to sign talented 17-year-old forward Robert Muric who currently plays for Dinamo Zagreb in his native Croatia. Muric is currently rated as a £6 million, but United could benefit from paying just £300,000 in compensation as it is yet to be established whether the player has signed a professional contract with his club or not. United are used to dealing with the compensation issue, but have been on the receiving end of it more recently than taking advantage of the ruling.

Both Chelsea and Barcelona have been tracking the young attacker during the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2013, a tournament won by Nigeria. Muric can play as a striker, on the right-wing (his preferred position), left-wing and as a second striker, so it will be interesting to see if United land the European teen sensation, as no doubt he will be a player for the future, but with Adnan Januzaj’s ability to adapt to first team football, you never know what David Moyes could be thinking.

Muric played in three matches for Croatia in the U17 FIFA World Cup, scoring once and playing 259 minutes of football. Croatia did not qualify for the latter stages of the competition after finishing third in their group winning once and losing twice.
