Hi,
Refer to the title, does anyone know who sell the cheapest around KL/PJ.

Why not consider/wait for the alternatives like the Tamron 17-55/2.8 or the Tokina 16-50/2.8? They'll be cheaper, and potentially better optically speaking. Of course they won't have IS (which makes the A100/K100 bodies very attractive indeed!).

I need a lens to fill this gap...Anyway, thanks for your advice. I think it is time for me to try IS... |

optically this lens is slightly softer @ wide open compare with tamron 17-50 & nikkor 17-55/2.8.
the price is not cheap either except u get to play USM and also IS. wah why sell off 16-35L. |

QUOTE(Maniac @ Jun 26 2006, 05:09 PM) optically this lens is slightly softer @ wide open compare with tamron 17-50 & nikkor 17-55/2.8. The EF16-35L is a great performer. But again I keep facing one problem since day 1; The very limited focal range for 1.6x camera! the price is not cheap either except u get to play USM and also IS. wah why sell off 16-35L. In fact, with this L lense, one cannot feel secure using it alone for travel. I usually have additonal 50mm or even 100mm to accompany it. It is why I am also considering the EFS17-85 IS, one lense settle everthing, which will be great for travel. |

agree on the FL provided by the 17-85, whcih i find it useful for the nikon's D70 kit lens, 18-70.
the FL is pretty much cover everything you would need for traveling. however, recently I traveled with just 10-20 and SP90, and was pretty happy with 10-20 though. |
