QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 28 2013, 05:27 PM) Judge according to your own need/preference. If you want normal fullsize, then rosewill. Want tkl, then get a filco/cm qfr. Want mini compact, then Poker2. They all serve differently. erm I'm kinda new to this, what is tkl?

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Dec 28 2013, 08:42 PM) TKL just the layout, nothing to with performance of a keyboard lol . When suggesting keyboard with standard layout (so that u can always change the keycaps if they worn off), we always ask budget, type of layout based on your preference. perform better in the sense of quality and all. here: Recommend me a mechanical keyboard. Budget around rm300 +/-. Also playing dota 2 and fps games. full size. led lighting if possible Blue/ brown keys. Currently looking at rosewill rk-9000

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 28 2013, 08:50 PM) The choice of TKL boards available in MY is quite limited, and better one most probably exceed your budget. I will say Rosewill is good enough and within your budget. i would top up if it is necessary. what are the better once?

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 28 2013, 08:57 PM) Is this Filco majestouch 2? i googled but i found nothing edit: I figured out this is the last keyboard i will ever buy unless i built a second computer. So, i increased the budget to unlimited as long as it is worth buying and durable and last me at least 30years (is this too much to expect?) recommendations? oh and, ABS or PBT key caps? QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 29 2013, 12:37 AM) So, currently which mechanical keyboard are you interested in? Rosewill? yeah... the cheapest one looking to invest more if it can last for at least 30 years edit: but in the end it is still kinda hard for me to decide whether to invest more into the keyboard. im changing my mouse and mousepad at the same time (played dota alot recently, and my mouse is about to die soon), and the spare money i have, i'll use it on either keyboard or a headset. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 29 2013, 02:05 AM) I remember legacy IBM model M keyboard last more than 20 years. Nearly 30 years and still ongoing its lifespan. I'm not prophet that know any keyboard that last for 30 years. As I want to recommend keyboard: Full layout: Rosewill TKL: Filco MJ2 (I do owned 1 myself) 60% layout: Poker 2 of course when I say last for at least 30 years, I'm already expecting myself to maintain and switch keycaps. that's the main reason I'm getting a mechanical keyboard as well. rosewill which model? any mechanical keyboard can be customised?

QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 29 2013, 12:01 PM) what mouse is that and how is it dying? i got a few polycarbonate + abs doubleshot caps. the side surface of the cap is of course, smooth and slippery. the top surface is textured. my logitech g400 died on me a few months ago. found a spare dell mouse and I'm using that now. the scroll click ate getting funky, click once can open 3-7 tabs. changing it is a must

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 29 2013, 11:54 AM) Since you are aiming for long lasting keyboard, like I previously suggested, go for Filco or IBM Model M. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....&id=19187790983look so old . which model of filco?

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 29 2013, 01:34 PM) The board is new in box, and guaranteed to last 20++ years. Filco only got one model, which is Majestouch 2. Though, there are lots variants according the switches, layout, printing and special version and so on. If you need multimedia keys, go grab a filco camo multicam. Other than that, all other filco are basically the same thing. is this the best bang for the buck now?

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 29 2013, 02:19 PM) Like I said, get filco camo if you need the multimedia shortcut keys or you like the camo theme. Else, simply get whatever Majestouch2 with the switches you like. hmm kind a have to think for a little. cause the no led factor is giving me a headache @@

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 29 2013, 02:52 PM) Want it to last 30 years, but want it to have LED (led can go faulty earlier than the lifespan of the board)... Hard to decide. It's like you want something to last long but you scare you gets bored of it. I saw the IBM one and this idea strikes into my mind How's Razer Black Widow? Customizable?
