Hi all sifu here.

I am using a CM Storm Quickfire Pro with MX Black for now and I feel its too heavy for my finger now.

I decided to get a new keyboard with red switch, small size like Poker 2 or TKL layout keyboards.

So, is Poker 2 a good keyboard for gaming? If not, any other keyboard to recommend me?

My budget is around RM300.

Thanks for help biggrin.gif

Poker2 is a good compact kb if u really need small small size one.
TKL maybe Quickfire Rapid/Stealth.

Will it be as durable as my current QuickFire Pro? I'm worried since it looks small and cute, since cute always does not equal to durable tongue.gif

By any chance anyone here know the polling rate of Poker 2?

For reference I'm using it just for a game called osu! btw.

Poker2 is only 6keys roll over, not sure the polling rate either. Poker2 still has some weight on it, 600+ gram.
I can say at least durable than other compact keyboard i have seen so far.
Does OSU need more than 6 keys to play with ? If not then most keyboard will do as long as it they fit your taste and requirement  nod.gif .

It uses only 2 keys at the same time sweat.gif

But player taps rapidly in gameplay with 2 keys.

I seeĀ  sweat.gif , then a softer key with better tapping like red might help.

True, that is why I'm preferring red switch as many osu players also use red switch.

At the same time I like the small size of Poker 2 so I'm interested to get a Poker 2 with mx red as my next keyboard. rclxms.gif

EDIT: Anyone here uses Poker 2 for gaming and found it inconvenience because of its layout? I'm not hardcore gamer though. *inb4 anyone mention bout BlackWidow*

Poker II can be awkward due to lack of arrow and F-keys. Some can't adapt the size factor, but for me, I'm okay with it. Just that few days after I own Poker II, I did a lot of mistake due to the size. I have no problem with the layout.

Gaming wise, not really a problem for me. Unless you need F-rows along with num-rows. Or else, you can try to use program mode or perhaps button combination. But, can be a problem if you can't adapt them. I used to play Cabal online before if I'm not mistaken, they use a lot of F-rows key. So my answer will be, depending on the game played, and your taste.

I use only 2 keys when gameplay. So I guess it is not going to be a problem. biggrin.gif

Btw, how to press function row keys, just wanna know it before getting Poker 2 drool.gif

And red switch is consider as a novelty for Filco...

How does it mean as a novelty for Filco? hmm.gif

Is it a good choice picking a Filco TKL red switch as my next mech kb? Or is there any mx red TKL keyboards I can get easily in KL? Preferring standard layout so I can change key caps easily in the future rclxms.gif

Is CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid a good choice? hmm.gif

Since Filco with mx red is hardly can be found local. Or any other keyboard can recommend me?

Mechanical keyboards should be more popular in Malaysia so local stores could import more keyboards over here to have more choice for us brows.gif

If you're willing to wait a while, Edifier (Fellow Lowyat User) has some MxReds in his next upcoming shipment. Got 2 options: 87 (TKL) and 104 (Full). The TKL one will cost less than RM400.
Feel free to contact him

Oh my, the price looks so tempting since red switch is the premium Filco I thought? rclxms.gif

I still remember hmwgbworld recommend you cm rapid/stealth if you want tkl last week. It's recommended after Filco TKL.
CM is easily available in Malaysia. There is forumer selling it too.
CM Stealth's red switch version is priced at RM425, yet the brown switch version is just RM315. That's why I'm thinking to get CM QFR which is Rm265 for now. But if Filco TKL Red is coming soon to Malaysia. I'm definitely going for that brows.gif

rm425 is way too overrated for mx red  sweat.gif , i will go for QFR for saving money.

That's what I'm thinking. sweat.gif The mx red is sold RM425 yet brown is sold at RM 315, kinda imbalance. tongue.gif

IIRC CM Stealth is just a side print version of CM QFR right? That doesn't deserve the price increase since I can get a set of key caps rather than buying Stealth just for its side print key caps. flex.gif
