QUOTE(ainuddin @ Dec 19 2013, 02:21 PM) if you guys dig how bunny likes to throw free stuff and understand his habits, there's a very big change he will include a free/gift of a matching blue sleeved cable for the raindrop set. I dun trust any gimmick or free gift anymore, most of the time just a lure imo |

QUOTE(Chew Yongxian @ Dec 20 2013, 12:50 PM) Hahahaha okay, I'll take your word for it. Guess most boards are aesthetics on the outside and crappy on the inside. Full size and TKL keyboard users, just grab standard layout will definitely benefit for changing keycaps to a better quality or appearance one. What would be your favourite board of all time? Or at least one which you think is the best. Unless budget limited and u need some special layout like 75% or TK, then it will be different story. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 20 2013, 05:26 PM) That's normal, corsair products are almost all made in china. Same goes for most reputable brands.QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 20 2013, 06:10 PM) The spacebar is oem profile while other keycaps seemed to be dcs or cherry profile to me |

QUOTE(imbibug @ Dec 22 2013, 10:41 AM) No. Its the complete opposite. A very wrong concept, not all ppl are typist. Yet, I believe all ppl do have the choice at least to choose what they want unless budget restricted.People who don't need to type much everyday or type slowly and poorly do not need a mechanical keyboard. Any RM20 cheap rubber dome will do since they type so slow anyway. Don't waste money on mkb if you fall into that category. People who use it for work like me find cheap rubber domes need more finger pressure because of the need to constantly bottom out. The biggest defect of rubber dome is the jiggly feel which causes mistakes while typing semi fast or fast. Then rubber domes wear down faster and the feel changes and keys bind even though it still works because the stabilization is poor (or missing). There are good rubber domes in the past like the Dell quietkey but its discontinued and scissor switched keyboard which are hard to find so the only choice for serious typists are mkb. Again, if you don't type much, stick to cheap rubber domes since you'll never wear it out anyway. Say, if u type on mech kb its really superior of the feeling as compared to a cheap rubber dome kb by long term. Most ppl cant really tell how they feel by just testing a few times. You will only feel sux in case u pick a wrong switch that doesn't suit u. This is also something similar like: human need to eat in order to live, but they can choose what to eat right ? Luxury or cheap food also very depending on personality, by nuff said: a gold in your eyes might just end up to be a sh** to the others. QUOTE(imbibug @ Dec 22 2013, 01:15 PM) I don't see why I was wrong since you yourself agree that a person who doesn't type that much can't tell the difference. It takes some training to type faster on a mkb to take advantage of the shorter travel. For a person who types slowly and doesn't need or want to improve their typing speed a rubber dome will be just as good. I agree that some of those people will just upgrade to a mkb just because it is 'expensive'. I doesn't mean by "typing much" to tell the difference between rubber dome and mech kb.I mean for the better feeling of typing on it over a long term of usage with a right switch. Yes indeed its expensive but it is worth for, same goes as ssd vs hdd situation. It just need time to get ppl adopt to it by time. |

QUOTE(Mofolicious @ Dec 22 2013, 05:59 PM) what brand? When it comes to my budget. Keycool , cmstorm . Any recommended brand below rm 200 ah? Wanna ask yah, normally mech keyboards.. you all prefer to have num pad or dont want num pad? This question very much depending on your preference and usage, not us since everyone is different. If you want full functionality and easy access from numpad, get a full size. If your table is small or u just want something small and probably easier to carry around, get compact size like TK, TKL or 60% layout. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 22 2013, 07:09 PM) Indeed. Very expensive, maybe the price represent the quality of it. Here's one from keycool, http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....&id=21861795154I found the leopold. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....&id=18752285964 Only mx blue, while leopold one can pick switch u want. Edit: leopold seems no mx brown and black. Anyway, still can mod it to any switch u like by desoldering and soldering. This post has been edited by hmwgbworld: Dec 22 2013, 07:16 PM |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 22 2013, 07:20 PM) Nice yet affordable. The only bad is the keycool have the brand name so big on the numpad 490rmb, leopold one also can 2 set ady lol. But, u will never go wrong with filco despite the price hitting wallet badly Will see if local have before purchase from taobao. Anyone in this forum bought numpad separately? Don't worry about the switches, ayam pengguna biru tegar.. MX blue is absolutely fine for me. Found MX brown, Filco http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....&id=24798224406 |
