I doesn't mean by "typing much" to tell the difference between rubber dome and mech kb.
I mean for the better feeling of typing on it over a long term of usage with a right switch.
Yes indeed its expensive but it is worth for, same goes as ssd vs hdd situation. It just need time to get ppl adopt to it by time.

Rubber dome doesn't always have to be horrible. There used to be good rubber domes like some old Dells or Keytronic which are very good and relatively cheap. Keytronic is still selling on amazon and from their website for USD18-30 before shipping. Or gaming rubber domes like the CM devastator or the K3/K7 which are quite alright and the keys don't feel sticky to me when pressed off centre.

So no, I don't feel that cherry mkb are that much superior to good rubber domes or scissor switched for people who don't type alot or for poor typists.

It's about the durability and aging.

Rubber some when is new and fresh indeed so provide some decent typing experience at a far cheaper price. In fact their tactility is even more significant compared to mx brown.

But in the long run, rubber dome age more than mechanical.

Also, for most ppl, b4 they use mech kb, rubber dome is still perfectly fine for them. But after used mech kb and go back to rubber dome (such as home vs office), the feel is simply too awkward to explain.

Clicky switches will capture my heart instantly.
Tactile switches will capture my heart after awhile.

i sold my MX brown f104 because of 2 reason. 1) need money 2) brown's tactile is too meh for me...MX clear is the non-clicky tactile for me biggrin.gif

topre is simply too expensive for an almost rubber dome feelalike and keycaps changing limitation.

Bro, totally agree with you.
If you don't type much then you do not need a mechanical keyboard. maybe 0.5-1 hours per day, I considered is not type much.
With exception you think mechanical keyboard is a hobby.  biggrin.gif

I really don't type much.
This is just my hobby.

By going back to rubber dome, they all sucks.
Is there any premium rubber? only topre.

Those hundreds bucks rubber dome still shitty no matter what.

my 2 BULK arrived without any damage to the cardboard box, it is secured with paypal payments, with USPS tracking, but /Please keep in mind because your shipping method was the cheapest available, tracking will stop once it leaves the US./
