Why is the survey so long I usually don't carry umbrella + mine is the type that is for one person, so can't share anyway. Unless I know that person or if they're a girl, I probably won't share it even if my umbrella can fit

And it's hardly true that westerners share their umbrella, I've been to Europe, Australia, NZ, while they're generally nice people and will help if you approach them, I never had anyone offer to share an umbrella with me, but I've someone giving me their umbrella before while I was waiting out the rain at a store

The only place where I had someone offering to share their umbrella with me was in South Korea. I find Koreans to be very helpful and nice, a guy not only share his umbrella with me, he even pay my bus fare cause I don't know what the bus driver was talking about and he paid it for me and told me which stop to get off at so Asians are not as rude as you think
