hey guys....can someone give me some comments/ thoughts on the following cable combos
1/ Canare L-4E6S with the taiwan gold stereo mini x2
2/ Canare L-4E6S with the REAN stereo mini x2
how does it sound? does it help widen the soundstage?
would really like to know the effects on the bass and mids and highs as well as the soundstage.
thanks in advance.
actually is quality different is on "how easy" you can solder a wire on it.
some bad design plug with bad material will require you to heat up so long before it can stick on wire.
sorry, wire to stick on it.
so
teorically, the longer you heat the wire, it should degrade your wire/insulator.
AFAIK, the taiwan gold plug and the rean is quite easy to solder on, same with F-12. but i cannot hear different amoung taiwan /REAN. but can hear different at F-12. don't know why, material different i suppose.
and
those other cheapo plug, i don't give a damn to use them. it's hard to solder on.
avarage time for me to solder a wire on a connector is always less than 1 seconds. and slightly more than 0.5 seconds i think.
for those china cheapo plug, probally u need to heat it like 3-6 seconds.. at that time, try to touch the wire nearby, u can get your finger painful.
while i solder my plugs, i prefer to keep my wire cool..=)
