If possible, do not do full-time.
Do part-time. You gain working experience as well as book-experience.

better to go for German/Japan classes than doing your masters....
Believe me....in a country thats is denying reality about its national language which is economically not valuable...better do it..

What is your own direction or goal for your career 5 to 10 years down the road?

What has actually come to your mind that you want to pursue a graduate degree?

What is your major in your electrical engineering degree?

Firstly you have to ask yourself why would you need a masters? What are you intentions of getting one? Just to have a better name for yourself? Or with the intention to earn more money?

I was a E&E engineering student as well and I did my masters. But after I completed it, it really didn't make any difference in the working world except that maybe my starting pay was a little higher than usual. Because of my masters I was a year behind my friends in starting to work and their pay structure was the same. So if you are planning to do a masters because of pay, forget it.

Where are you planning to do your masters? In which area of E&E are you going to do more research in? You have to weigh whether is that the same industry here in Malaysia that will offer you a chance to apply what you studied during your masters?

Alot of things must be taken into consideration. Give us more details and we can help you out smile.gif

alrighty, my thoughts are, before moving on the masters, why not get some work experience first with your bachelor degree? Working experience can provide you with knowledge a formal education may not be able to give. BEsides, most employers now would prefer to emply people with working experience. Even if you have a master's degree, it does not mean that right away you'll get a high sallary.

How it works is that as you work, when you furthur your studies while you work, it is an opportunity for you to get a promotion. therefore it is more advisable to start working first and then only get your masters if it is able to get you a promotion.

also, even if you come out as an engineer, as you continue on the rat race, you may not remain an engineer. you may end up getting an MBA instead when you furthur your studies.

Whatever I studied in my masters, I applied 0% of it except for the management skills. icon_idea.gif
