just make sure your side dampers are within the specs.

that's the weird thing about MAs
Tamiya made them fully cowled, but the body gets in the way of installation of side dampers

1) this one is personal preferences to me.. some say direct bearing is the fastest compare to rollers with bearing.. but if i remember correctly the diff sizes of roller give you the freedom of configuring your setup ie. wider roller at front & narrow at rear and vice versa.. each have its own advantages..

2) thin tyres tend not to bounce more than standard tyre..
you only left 2 more rollers to put at rear.. let me know the results of this setting..

and make sure u follow the official guidelines.. those 13mm roller should be on the second hole from outside iinm..

the tamiya world had change.. last time mana ada ini semua 

my only complain about tamiya parts are the new AO620 bearings.. even tho the packaging is made in japan but the bearing quality is not japan at all.. meanwhile the AO830 bearing is made in china but the quality is superb.. last time the AO620 built same as the 830 but now.. haih..

the main point is the weight and power..

Neo Champ battery paling ringan sekali antara semua. dan tahan lama.

put it this way, higher mAh doesn't mean powerful.. for speed race we always look for the lightest setup.. so lower capacity = lighter batt.. power output more or less almost the same since i don't see any C rating for these type of batt.. for RC batt they have C rating indicating power output.. higher C rate ie. 70C is punchier than a 50C rate batt.. we don't look for higher capacity (which is the mAh) for power.. and the more capacity it can hold the heavier the batt.. hope this help..

i always play speed and i have eneloop lite which is 950mAh and neo champ.. eneloop lite slightly heavy than neo champ but serve the purpose.. regular white eneloop much2 heavier..

maha charger is seems to be the best consumer charger compared to GP or eneloop charger. highly recommended.

even the cheaper maha mh-c401fs charger has better charging than cheap RC balance chargers.
if got budget go for the maha wizard one c9000
For speed .... Eneloop Lite or Neo Champ is always the people's choice.
Save the normal Eneloop for semi-speeds or other type of races.

Eneloop XX ,... no need. For speedlight use it's good... but not for Tamiya mini4wd.

Talking about neochamps, and while I am here in KL...where do you get them?

If you have extra budget, can't go wrong with Neo Champ.
Otherwise just get the Eneloop Lite or normal Eneloop (white). Just don't bother about Eneloop XX (black).

When playing with Tamiya, you don't need quantity (batt capacity, mAh), you need quality (actual reading voltage). Neo Champ out of the box normally reads more than 1.3v. Eneloop Lite also 1.3-ish. Usually those higher capacity NiMH would read almost near to 1.2v only. You can use the battery checker to confirm this.

A common myth that people seem to believe is to use the same brand of charger as the battery brand.
Reality is, any charger brand works for any rechargeable battery as long it supports the same type of battery (NiMH/NiCD/Alkaline, etc.)
