Which tint should I go for? Sedan car
3M Crystalline - RM2799 RhinePro Black Beauty - RM1399 Xpel - RM1900 I wondering is RhinePro Black Beauty good brand? its half price of 3M Usually I drive park in my car porch, I would say depends on the sun direction, will have few hour its consider park under the sun, normal terrace house. Using smart tag and RFID access card I looking for a tint that can last as long as possible, don't want to re-tint after warranty and hope the effect can last as long as possible. Can RhinePro Black Beauty do it? or should go for 3M Or suggest other brand, but budget below 3k only Thanks everyone This post has been edited by winterx001: Mar 25 2025, 05:34 PM |

QUOTE(winterx001 @ Mar 25 2025, 05:28 PM) Which tint should I go for? Sedan car As mentioned before, 3M has very high chances of smart tag not working. Some cars do but most cars won't work, have to cut holes for smart tag. The last tried on my friend's Honda City (latest gen), smart tag still cannot work although 1 poster says his Toyota Harrier can.3M Crystalline - RM2799 RhinePro Black Beauty - RM1399 Xpel - RM1900 I wondering is RhinePro Black Beauty good brand? its half price of 3M Usually I drive park in my car porch, I would say depends on the sun direction, will have few hour its consider park under the sun, normal terrace house. I myself using Irispro metallic sputter highest range Diamond X and Diamond series for 3 cars, a bit pricey on the highest range due to premium metallic based sputter. You can check out Irispro as alternative, maybe their Diamond or Elite series pricing at 3K or below depending on what car you have. You can check out my previous post on Irispro DX and Diamond range in-depth review (based on my own experience only). Check the latest one tho if you interested coz earlier DX series totally change colouring vs the current DX. Diamond should still be the same. |

For those using metallic tints and stick their RFID on left headlamps, you have to watchout for your headlamp design.
If the design of the car headlamps placed lots of metal component such as chrome, etc very close to the inside glass / plastic surface where you stick the RFID, that can also interfere with RFID signal. The result is when passing RFID, sometimes it don't work or the signal takes much longer to be recognised. I have 5 cars with RFID on headlamps, 3 decade old cars, no issue, VIOS 2019 no issue but when it comes to latest gen City when internal chrome design placed very close to the front glass where my RFID is, the reading of my RFID is much slower than other cars that I have to do an almost stop for every RFID reading and it occassional don't work especially on the Kesas Bukit Kemuning RIFD lane. Yesterday, I gave up after almost a year and replace the tag. Now the fitment center just stick it on the bumper (coz I'm using metallic sputter tint, cannot put on windscreen). Due to design of bumper, we placed the RIFD stick facing upwards in front of bumper (less chance of stone or minor accident bump damage), nearer to the left as required for RFID reading. Now the RFID detection is the fastest among all the 5 cars (no metal even close to the RFID). ps. I occasionally see cars with RFID on bumper instead of headlamp and windscreen and I think they look a bit weird/out of place, sticking on bumper with contrasting colour instead of almost invisible sticker on headlamp or windscreen.....now I know why. The white lines of the RFID stands out on my dark bumper, cannot miss it. Luckily the design looks hi-tech and somehow looks ok on City near the RS front symbol, still when I look at my bumper, the first thing I see is the sticker that stands out due to the while line on dark bumper. Solution, just go to the RFID center that provides the installation of the RFID stickers, they will test properly with the devices to check the signal strength b4 sticking. Past experience, X70 SUV has no issues to put at the outside windscreen left side, even with metallic tint, whereas CX5, needs to put at left headlamp. Hi sifus, looking for recommendations to tint my 1st gen Myvi SE.
I just want it to be as dark as possible in compliance to JPJ, heat rejection etc. is a plus. If possible i also don't want it to interfere with Smart Tag. And of course, looking to spend as little cash as possible haha. Just need something "good enough" so that people cannot see inside my car easily, and not too hot inside when park under the sun (which doesn't happen that often, which is why this is just a good to have). |

My earlier one just stick on by the Honda car SA as a free gift (honda also go RFID sticker). |

Anyone here heard of/used this new brand called Profilm K70 from China? They have a local distributor as well, just search the brand name + Malaysia then it should appear.
It has won some red dot design award - https://www.red-dot.org/project/k70-mm70-st-ha-63294 Not sure how legit is this award... What's your thought on this? Marketing macam promising This post has been edited by evilhomura89: Apr 14 2025, 05:15 PM |
