Hi installed full 3m crystalline tint on my car today, however i realized that my back window using crystalline 20 got a yellowish tone if look from inside, is this normal? or need to wait till cure?

Ah its true like this. And one more thing, is it normal that it interfere with rfid on the front windshield? I got no problem driving through rfid lane before installing CR70 at the windshield, but after i seems to not detect..wondering if its because of the tint?

I eventually went with @dog999 3M Crystalline Package for the Honda City at their shop (Titan Solar Film Sdn Bhd) located at Old Klang Road near the Millerz Square.

Services and customer explanations from Kent and Phoenix are so good and attentive; workmanship of the tints are neat as well.

I was even invited to their office upstairs when asked about their 3M genuineness, Phoenix gave a thorough clarification plus the e-warranty stuff, and tested my tint again once it was applied on my car to confirm that it's the real deal. 

Not a Smart Tag user, but tested my Apple Carplay's Google Maps, my house's auto-gate remote control, and boom gate card reader all working without cutting any holes.

Would like to go for 3M crystalline for sedan. Got quoted RM2288 and free PPF on headlamps and doorcups, but branch is 45 min away from where I live (PJ)

How to know if the 3M one is original?

Dunno why your car glass is so different to mine. My Harrier V-kool Elite on front windscreen measured VLT 69.7, and the installers used the exact same 2-piece meter the cops use at roadblocks. They claimed that small difference no issue for roadblocks. Puspakom might be different story though, because their meters calibrated differently. My mum’s Cross with IrisPro Diamond 60 on the front windscreen and windows measured VLT 60.1 once applied (factory tint removed first, obviously), although this was only measured with handheld Lingshang meters. Iirc, posted photos of those reading somewhere in this thread.

With regards to hue, my mum’s Cross install combination of Diamond 60 and 30, and all the hues look the same emeral-blue shade. The back is just deeper than the front. DX I have no idea because it wasn’t released yet back when I installed. For 3M I saw dog999 previously mention that once you go down to 30 or 20 VLT the film exhibits a yellow/brown hue. I tagged him in the previous sentence so hopefully he will read it and clarify.

Hi guys I got the following quote from Ceramic Pro coating + Magnus Pro tint + PPF for a Honda CR-V. Is this an ok package or too expensive? I know Ceramic Pro is quite expensive but if I can add on tint and PPF for package discount maybe it'll be an alright deal? Thoughts?

I'm thinking of specifically GOLD coating, advanced/full PPF, and the ceramic 2mils tint, so it'll be around RM 7,755 – RM 8.295.

3m those authorise shop shall safe enuf?
i dont really aim for premium, maybe a midrange should be sufficient.
regarding performance guarantee, i feel this very vary, as the way the measure standard is different from each ppl, each shop and method of measuring. Those sales man can use the uv heat lamp and walk near n far etc which they do not use a standard method to measure. Agree on claiming are mostly on defect/distort/peel/bubble those . .
Privacy as coupe no rear door so basically cant tint dark unless the rear windscreen ..
I am not fan of whole car dark because block visibility, but i will prefer something in middle which people could see there is someone in car, but could not see their face clearly.. like shadow.. i think that is around 50vlt.

for cars with existing manufacturer tint (security tint) should we just add on another layer

Hi sifus, just recently pick up my Tesla Model 3. Tesla officially refers us to their 3M partner for below package :

- Front Windscreen : Crystalline CR 90
- Front Windows : Crystalline CR 70
- Rest of Car (Rear Windows, Rear Windscreen, Sunroof) : Color Stable CS 35

Priced at RM2,550.00. Is this a good combinations and is it worth the price tag?

I can feel the heat during sunny day drive, I believe it's mostly from the side windows. The sunroof I feel the original tint is pretty ok, at least not that hot unless you touch it under hot sunny day.

Curios.. quoted 3M CR slightly >3K with 5 years warranty/Limited lifetime warranty vs RhinePro Black Beauty 1.5k with 10 years warranty/7 years color durability...

and should I remove all original Toyota Tinted that clearly very light

My previous tint with 3M which I have been using for 10yrs+, didnt have issues with smartag as well. Im guessing that those who had issues could also been combination of the windscreen glass and the inner layer film of the windscreen, coupled with the tint, the combo may not been optimal.
