I have some very bad experience with heating problem which lead to several shutdown and motherboard burnt. Hence I'm quite particular with cooling system.

I saw there are a bunch of laptop having spec of I5-4200U/M with GT 740M..I want to know that out of all that, any of them have SSD/Msata, or light and good battery life or good ventilation?
btw I saw most of them coming with 4G ram, can I request the shop to make it 8G? I afraid some laptop might seal up and adding ram yourself will void the warranty.Thanks

My only concern on SSD is about the size, 128G is definitely not sufficient, but more than that price will be much higher. I heard Msata offer some help on running smooth and with combination with normal SATA which is sufficient for my item , so I will prefer msata+SATA combo, unless it is possible for me to add SSD and HDD together..

I heard someone mentioned before particularly for Lenovo Z510, the warranty sticker actually placed on the Ram opener ther. Not sure if is true or not.

I am quite satisfied with the spec, cell power and price of it...2.3kg is still acceptable for me, but I need a laptop that can be used without cooling system..Had some hard time with my old lappy that can heat up to 80/90'c

That's the thing, with that budget most are i5-4200U with GT 740M, only 14R and 15R can give me 4500U with GT750M.
I might need it for medium gaming (assn creed, cod in medium setting), and some engineering drawing, i afraid 4200U +740M might not be able to reach my needs

My focus in more on the build quality, typing ergonomics, ventilation system, warranty services (JB/S'pore), sound system, design, battery, adding msata(perhaps?)

I notice different in hardisk size, but that's not gonna be my concern

This model seems not available in the official website, but try to google around and you will find quite some information on this..I have been eye-ing on this as well, however the price is slightly expensive compare to others 4200+740..

If you're looking at MSI laptop, I might suggest you this, just add a little more compare to GP60

I though you're fine with 4200m ? since your GP 60 is 4200m as well.
for the difference, google up for game benchmark. I do see some difference for some game such as AC4

I think the price is slightly cheaper than mentioned, after all y410 there shown 2899 as well.

Y410 might be a good choice, but a bit heavier, and not sure if i7 is necessary for gaming, but produce excess heat but not getting the benefit of i7
