Hi Gurus
Need some recommendation for notebooks/laptops
1. Preferred Brand: Anything but Apple. Anything means reliable in terms of Support & Service as well as product. 2. Budget: 3k 3. Usage: Business with lots of application testing and productivity tools running - I need CPU speed. 4. Preferred laptop/screen size: min 14"
Thanks y'all

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Dec 9 2013, 05:12 PM) Dell Inspiron 14R, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M (GDDR5) @ RM2499[2.32kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), Ubuntu 12.04 , 6 cell; W8SL@ RM2699 Best Support and service after sales might want to consider Lenovo Y410p, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GT755M(GDDR5)@RM2899, 4GB, 1TB, DOS, red backlit, 120w psu, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty Thank you Pandera999. Yes no Apple - I need another lifetime to get familiar with it...(LOL! It's a joke) Are you saying Dell comes with best support & Service after sales? Are these 2 options RAM can be expandable....up to.....?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 9 2013, 05:25 PM) Can consider this one 14" Dell Inspiron 14 7000, i5-4200U + Intel HD4400 + 32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2699[2.02kg], 6GB(soldered), , W8SL, backlit keyboard, 58Whr, No ODD *price in RRP, negotiable *the mSATA SSD will give you a much smoother computing experience than just having a lot of CPU performance *use remaining budget for warranty extension to 3 years Hi PF T.J. But no LAN port, VGA (still need this as some projectors do not support HDMI), no RAM extension bay in case for an upgrade, Any other recommendations? No HP - always bad experience with its hardware.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 18 2013, 11:58 AM) If you have specific criteria, please mention in your first post ya Perhaps can consider this one? 14" Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E440, i5-4200M + Intel HD4600@RM2659, 4GB, 1TB(5400rpm), W7P + W8P Hi PF T.J Thanks. I initially thought that new hardwares would still come with the LAN n VGA port by default. Will check out the Lenovo then. Thanks again bro.
