well, not much know why they design it like dat.    as long as the heat flow inside the laptop and keep the palm rest area cool... its ok for me.. 
price provided in the brochure of the brands product. some of the price are provided by seller from garage sales.    have a look and visit. 
Y510p graphic card and N56JR graphic card is on par.. the different is not much..

Anyway, GT755M vs GT760M is pretty close performance wise. As for GT750M SLI, for games that support SLI, it's close to GTX770M level (with caveat such as drivers support, micro-stuttering, etc).

Since you've narrowed down to 2 models, I suggest you go out and look / type / click / listen / type / carry the real things to see which you prefer

4th gen is slightly improve in the performance compared with 3rd gen but normally user won't feel anything unless you digest deepest inside.
Actually, you are going to use in your Uni life right?
If you are hardcore gamer, then get a laptop with Full HD screen + better graphic card.
Or else get a normal laptop and pump SSD inside (just like me)

Basic law of physic:

Powerful components (CPU / GPU) generate lots of heat.
To dissipate the heat (good thermal profile), the laptop must have:
Space. You can forget about thin gaming laptop having good thermal profile. Need space for good strong fan, good heat sink, good airflow.
All this add to weight.

Increase your budget from RM3.5k to RM4.2k, you are still circling around those few brands / models that other sifus have suggested.

Don't expect good battery run time with that quad core CPU and high medium GPU.
