HP ENVY 4-1238TX. Ive read some reviews and it isnt promising but whats attractive is the Beats Audio.

Would there be other brand/models that suit my requirements thou?
*
isnt promising in terms of what? well.. what i do read is... the hp is quite nice, sleek and sexy too.. laugh.gif have a positive response about the function.. the bad is.. mostly review complain about the wifi connection which its sometimes auto self-disconnect.
if you din choose hp envy.. i think vivo is the best choice for you

Hmm, recently at Lowyat Plaza I saw some Asus laptop offering at student price of RM1099+-. Anyone can tell me what's the spec and model of it? I just saw the price and brand only, no time to check it's spec, because I am in a hurry to do other things. Quite interested though.

Usage: Just very very light gaming, movie, word processing and browsing. That's all.

Intel core i5-3337U/ 4G DDR3  500GB HDD/ W8   ATI Radeon HD7450M 1GB   14 HD multi Touch Screen
Rm2099

yes.. no more..
that spec.. is kinda weak.. slow performance.. but it not drain much battery... low-end graphic card.. but its ok for light gaming..

compare with toshiba Satellite L40-AS109Xb/G/W, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[Onkyo], 4GB, 750GB, 3 years local warranty; colors: Blue/gold/white

pay extra rm100 for better speaker and good graphic card compare hd7450M and have larger storage.. plus with 3 years warranty thumbup.gif

The Dell is nice but can it be configured to non-touch? because I won't be touching the screen anyways.

How about the Asus N56JR? What's the battery life with normal internet browsing and typing? Oh and what's the price for this configuration of the laptop?

its i7-4700HQ @RM3999, n56JR battery gonna being drain by its processor and its graphic card.. even its normal browsing and typing, its not gonna hold so long.

QUOTE(profdra @ Dec 17 2013, 10:34 AM)
is there vast difference between FHD & IPS display for photoshop?

thanks.
*
major benefit of an IPS display is its extremely wide viewing angles, meaning colors stay true no matter what angle you view it from.

IPS has Better Color Gamut
IPS has Better Color Accuracy - Blacks appear black, reds appear red, whites appear white.
IPS has Better Viewing Angles – This is of course the feature most noticeable to the average eye and easy to demonstrate as the videos did previously. IPS displays can have viewing angles up to 178-degrees wide.

As a photoshop user an IPS would be better
