1. Preferred Brand: Dell or Asus(Or if there's any better and cheaper brand than both of these, please suggest. The reason why I might be choosing DELL is because of its warranty services. On the ASUS side, because they produce quite a few top notch laptop.)
2. Budget: RM3000 to RM3200 or below
3. Usage: Business + Some light AutoCAD designing
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14' or 15'

One last thing, since I'm going to use this laptop for some light AutoCAD designing, is 4GB or RAM enough to handle everything? Or should I just go with 8GB? Plus, I am planning to use this laptop up to 4.5 years or more. Also, I will bring this laptop around with me as I'm going to meet some customers and do some live presentation. So, any feedback will be very much appreciated. Thank you! thumbup.gif

i7 4th gen ultrabook not possible with that budget. the only best option you can get is the Dell Inspiron 14 7000.

the 2 that closest and nearest to your budget :

Lenovo
Yoga 2 pro, i7-4500U + Intel HD4400 + 256GB SSD + (3200x1800 IPS; touch)@RM4199[1.39kg], 8GB, W8.1, 2 yrs

Acer
Aspire S7-392-74504G12, i7-4500U + Intel HD4400 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080; touch)@RM3999[1.3kg], 4GB, W8.1

Manage to identify another model, from HP:-

HP ENVY TouchSmart 14-k118tx Sleekbook (http://h20386.www2.hp.com/MalaysiaStore/BundleDetail.aspx?pdetail=P321908&)

HP ENVY TouchSmart 14-k029tx Sleekbook (http://www8.hp.com/my/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=5399233#!tab=features)

Any comment on the model above? Btw, the dell is it carry-in warranty now and no longer onsite warranty?

That is a solid suggestion, thank you. How about the internal storage, is it changeable? I would prefer more if the SSD and HDD storage capacity are larger. Are there any options other than that? How about the ASUS? I am also looking for a desktop for my office as well, I'm not sure whether should I go with a custom build or pre-build by DELL/ASUS/etc.. I remember I saw a thread similar to this except it's for desktop PC recommendation, but I just can't find it here. Because I will only do most of the AutoCAD work on my desktop PC in office, and light stuff for laptop.

Yeah, the storage is upgradeable nod.gif

As for the Asus, can consider this:
14"
Asus
PRO45VJ-V0047X, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT635M@RM2399[2.4kg], 4GB, 500GB, W7P

K451LB-WX071H, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199, 4GB, 750GB, W8

Or this if you can fork out a little bit more:
BU400VC-C3086G, i5-3337U + Nvidia NVS5200 Optimus + 128GB SSD + 500GB HDD@RM3599[1.64kg], 4GB, W8P

*Prices in RRP, negotiable. However, do take note that Asus Malaysia's after sales service is not good nod.gif

its okay if you can bear the weight a little.

Dell is carry-in warranty now? suppose its on-site service after remote diagnosis, which means after you called Dell and a problem is yet to be fixed, Dell will dispatch a technician and service your laptop on-site, no matter where you are.
