No, if you are talking about VRAM.

edit: architecturally, there is, but practically in term of performance, hardly any.

1. Preferred Brand
-not choosy, but i'm more comfortable with asus, acer, dell

2. Budget
-at most 3.3K.. cheaper is better,

3. Usage
-HD/blu ray movies able to run without lag,
-dota 2 run on highest setting, planned to play max payne 3 on decent setting..not a heavy gamer tho
-photoshop,file conversions
-heavy multitasking (chrome run on many tabs, with music playing & softwares run at same time)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
-15" and below since im planning to extend the display to external monitor anyway

basically i'm looking for laptop that has processing power that perhaps can match a desktop..i've been using dual core amd turion laptop for past 4 years & im like blown away after borrowing my sister i5 desktop. so smooth n no hiccups when multitask.lol

thx

Can consider these:
14"
Lenovo Z400 touch, i7-3632QM + Nvidia GT740M + (1366x768, touch)@RM2799, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty

15.6"
Lenovo Z510, i7-4702MQ + Nvidia GT740M@RM2799[2.2kg], 4GB, 1TB, backlit, W8; 2 yrs

MSI GP60-2OD, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GT740M + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM2999, 4GB, 750GB, W8, steel series KB

*PRices in RRP, negotiable
*For the Lenovo, use remaining budget to upgrade to at least 8GB RAM, and switch the HDD with SSD
*For the MSI, upgrade to at least 8GB RAM, will benefit your photoshop work
